Almost spit my drink when this showed up in my feed! It's so cool to see another shared interest besides photography haha. I also have a simulator setup (PC, VR, rudders, yoke, bass transducers, fans w/telemetry, etc etc) and enjoy using it quite often and flying to random places. I also have one for driving simulation which I've spent thousands of hours in over the years. I'd love to have a nice set of throttles for flying Cessna's like yours. I really love that you've posted this video. 😁

lol, I didn't make you for a flight simmer. Those are my two passions too: photography and flightsim. I have been a simmer since 1984, since the first version of MSFS. I ran it on a PC junior setup. You do have a nice set up. I will take a closer look at the loupedeck. Thanks for sharing this.

I've found myself getting into photography and photo editing BECAUSE of flight simulators. I've been an avid flight sim enthusiast for about eight years now. My photo editing started with trying to make my Prepar3D screenshots look more realistic, but now with Microsoft Flight Simulator and its incredible visuals, it's a game changer. I like looking for good opportunities in the sim to make it look even more realistic. I've discovered that there are plenty of opportunities for creativity in making even the most subtle of edits that most people wouldn't notice, but lend *that much* more to making the screenshots become something that look like they could've come from a real camera. I love that flying my virtual aircraft has inspired me to learn photo editing skills, and in so doing has sharpened my eye for details in other, non-video game photos that I've edited since.

The Loupedeck CT is a gem - I can't imagine Lightroom photo editing without it. As you say, so well made, and the customisable options are immense. Having used the Loupedeck and Loupedeck+ since they were initially, released the CT is a most welcome progression. And suits the Apple and Adobe products admirably. And just to add, the Photoshop compatibility adds to the efficiency and time saving the Loupedeck brings to my workflow

I like how the "mechanical" interaction between user and computer goes back to what worked 30 years ago when I used the IBM CADAM system to design electronic circuits. I had two pads with programmable buttons and a pad with knobs, aside from a trackball with 30 programmable keys. Never used the keyboard. I'm looking at the Elgato Stream Desk XL these days to do the same thing, mainly for meetings. Nice to see that the MS Simulator is still active. Quick recovery with that finger.

My fave aircraft are the Flight FX Cirrus Vision Jet G2, and the Flightsim Studio Embraer E175! How cool! I may pick up that Loupdeck CT, looks like it works pretty cool! How cool! Best wishes to you and Ray! ♥

You've got some nice tools and hobbies. I use DaVinci Resolve for my video editing. For hardware, I use DaVinci's Speed Editor and the Elgato Stream Deck XL. One of my favorite hobbies has become my occupation for the last 40 years. I started working on multi-million dollar air-to-air military combat simulators when I was younger. Later in life, I was involved in the construction and testing of these full motion simulators. For the last 20 years, I've been maintaining and testing them for a major airline. It's nice when one of your hobbies becomes your occupation.

Nice sim chair. Ergonomics seems to be of interest to you. You may want to lower your keyboard, mouse, and Loupedeck with a "keyboard tray" for your wrist issue. Also, the center height of your beautiful monitor should be raised with a VESA mount to the average height of both Raymond's and your eyes. Good news. Your monitor may then seem high but for avid sim pilots, there is a wonderful solution. May I suggest the KZbin video "MSFS: Amp Up Your Sim with these FREE Panels". Try just one 13.3" capacitive touchscreen running off your CPU (save GPU). You will be surprised by the immersion in MSFS and how the expanded desktop provides for better day-to-day productivity. I use two 13.3" and a 7" touchscreens with a Knobster :) Nb. Looking for the video's name above to share I discovered Russ also did this video "MSFS Surround Vs. New Multiview: The Best Sim Solution". He covers FOV but his diagram shows the correct centered height.

A solution for that gaffer tape is 3m self adhesive velcro.I found some in a local news/stationary store.the easiest way to use it is to select the lengths and stick them to the base of the device you wish to stick down,then peel off the backing paper and firmly press down onto the clean surface.I have the same yoke as you and rather than mess with the fiddly throttle mount,I used the velcro and its really firmly stuck.I also have used it for my new pc case (no cd mount) I just bought a portable cd and mounted it directly to the side glass panel.I also used it to mount a powered usb hub to the top of the pc case.........................
@LeighAndRaymond2 жыл бұрын
We tried Velcro and the controls were still wobbly when we used them! They needed something to support them vertically. I'm certain we'll come up with a better solution and I will for sure share it in a video. :)

I bought the loupedeck and was thoroughly disappointed. It was too difficult to set up and program profiles, and on top of that, it did not work consistently with Premier Pro or Photoshop. It would not change profiles automatically when switching to the application. I had to go into the loupdeck software and manually change it. Not a time saver at all. It also worked sporadically in MSFS. So, I returned it. Not ready for prime time i am afraid.
