Mussoorie (The Queen of the hills) is a hill station and a municipal board in the Dehradun district of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is about 35 kilometers (22 mi) from the state capital of Dehradun and 300 km (180 mi) north of the national capital of New Delhi. The hill station is in the foothills of the Garhwal Himalayan range. The adjoining town of Landour, which includes a military cantonment, is considered part of "greater Mussoorie", as are the townships of Barlowganj and Jharipani.
Mussoorie is at an average altitude of 2,005 meters (6,578 ft). To the northeast are the Himalayan snow ranges, and to the south, the Doon Valley and Shiwalik ranges. The second highest point is the original Lal Tibba in Landour, with a height of over 2,275 m (7,464 ft). Mussoorie is popularly known as The Queen of the Hills.

Mussoorie will always be cherished in my heart during my boarding school days back in the 70s but sadley today Mussoorie has lost its charms with traffic jams dirtier littered with plastics bags and empty bottles library bazaar to landaur one would walked freely with out seeing the single vehicles kempty fall once a beautiful natural place where many boarding schools would had theirs day field trips today is taken by the mad crowds .

For Bike Rental Driving licence is compalsary or Adhard card can be used

Sirjee maine waha jakar kari thi and it turned out a lodge which was not gud, agar aap family k sath ho toe will suggest pehle hi book karo otherwise aapko aapke family k sath yaha waha ghumna padega which will waste ur time.. mai akela tha isliye isliye lodge mai stay kar liya
