I’m a Nike Weartester and a former D1 Hooper and I love these. I also like quality budget models that perform well so I don’t blend in with all the hypebeasts on and off the court. I bought two pair of these

I have just got them today and scrimmaged with them I'm about 5"11 72kg Here my take on it Take note that the floor was very unclean as footballer's just walked in with their grassy shoes Traction wasn't loud and I was doubtful of it until i got my head in the game and noticed I haven't slipped once with minimal wipe I am quite shifty and this shoes only helped Traction is good on my part. The shoes are higher off the ground that I expected but it somehow plays like a low top shoes. Comfort is decent all around. I will say that there is little compression and I can't feel the air zoom as much if at all Shoes does feel "bouncy" for it's lightness. Cushioning is doable. Lockdown is impeccable. Overall this shoe is definitely worth a buy and the very hard rubber can be used outside as long as you aren't in the UK like me where our floors are worse than sandpaper. If the shoes need braking in well I haven't yet to experience it since I only played once with it I am going to play with them on a cleaner court tomorrow and I'm good to update on it if there a need

@@rishinivedan2265 I have played on two different courts yesterday for about 5h I rarely notice braking in with shoes But I could then feel the air zoom. Unlike the j36 it ain't right under your feet to propulse you forward It's more near the pinky toes to have that explosive change of direction Which I feel is better functionality wise. One of the courts was dusty and again I haven't slipped once or felt the need to wipe Even tho I could see the dust deposit under the sole at the end of the session. The shoes grip along the top which curves up the side is also useful when getting low to the ground on your crossover I can say that this shoe is made for people like Kyrie who don't need cushion as much put prioritize responsiveness. Take note I bought the red colour way. If any questions ask me👍

Great video, I can’t wait to get a pair. I’m kind of bummed that Nike decided to cut ties with Kyrie Irving and the latest Kyrie 8 is no longer going to come out. Hopefully we can still get pairs on the aftermarket but it’s not looking very likely. Kind of like what happened with Chris Paul’s CP3 13, you literally cannot find that sneaker since their release was canceled

For a budget shoe it doesn't look too bad. Cushion always crappy on most budget models. Never really saw the need for a budget line, if you wait long enough you can get the a signature shoe for either same or lower price.

bro, in my country, for me and our society, it's still on the Mid-expensive side. I've never owned a shoe that cost more than 3000... but i could. I could stretch it up to 4500 too. (my families would look at me like crazy if i did that). But These Kyries cost 5300+ (cheapest colourway). We're middle class btw.

I feel like the best part of the kyries is the bottom runs up onto the sides and they seem to be going away from it which I don't understand. (It's there but I feel like the older models are much better

@@gleemi the report was they were unlikely to continue over concerns of his future playing. Easy way out for them to blame his controversial vaccine holdout. While he's still popular, they're probably looking to invest more money in guys like Luka and Zion going forward. Probably keep Kyrie as a Nike athlete

There’s no way that synthetic toe area is there for “toe drags” ‘..cmon😂! The rubber outsole goes way up in the front of the shoe…toe dragging will come from right there! Clearly looking at the shoe you can tell that the outsole comes up high and has a little rib (lip) there too. This will be a great shoe for getting low and doing toe stops/drags…nice outsole coverage for that.

I am a 15 year old that Is pritty athletic, I've been using the flytrap 5 for a while now and I have to say the comfort was amazing for the first 3 weeks. But after that I kinda turned mid. Another down side to this shoe is that the durability is also kinda ass. As stated befor I'm only 15 and am pritty athletic at 5'10 but the insoles of this shoe are ass the stitching came apart completely on the heel idk how it happend but now i have to fix it every onece in a while. But you can't realy expect much for a budget line of shoes so I would give this shoe a 6/10

I got them because they were on sale for $65, but they are absolutely garbage. Horrible traction on anything other than a perfectly clean court, and the forefoot is way too stiff and round, and it hurts after playing 30+ minutes.

The Flytrap 5 had good traction and yes the zoom was pretty good for me. I just used the Flytrap 5 as a training shoe because I have too many hoop shoes. I use the Curry 8’s and 9’s for games.
