The people were still with Roman before Royal Rumble 2015. He was still fresh from coming back from injury that he suffered in October(maybe at the end of September) 2014. The crowd was slowly turning on him but it was a very slow turn. That sufferin succotash promo happened in early January of 2015. It definitely hurt him and his image but somehow people weren't booing him yet. What put the nail in the coffin was WWE announcing Daniel Bryan returning at the Royal Rumble and then of course his early elimination. The very moment the people fully turned on Roman was when he came out for the Rumble and people just knew at that moment he was winning and that he was the guy who would be forced on everybody.

Jules as I've always said the ONE thing people fear and hate the most? The truth. Especially about themselves. Punk said all this and predicted what we're seeing now. WWE is a liability to the wrestling industry and Vince has NO respect for anyone who works or watches his shows. He hasn't learned from anything. AEW has seen all the mistakes he and WWE arrogantly continue to make and RIGHTLY learned from it. That says a lot of about difference of the two when it comes to respect to both wrestlers and audience. And why one is thriving and the other is poisoning itself.

It's hard to say whether Vince is out of touch or if he's just manifesting the same creative tendencies that he did in the early 90s when WWF programming ran virtually unopposed. Don't forget that the early to mid 90s were a time of such creations as Friar Ferguson, Max Moon, Jonny Polo, Aldo Montoya, Farooq (pre-Nation), The Goon, Duke the Dumpster, Isaac Yankem, Mantaur and the Gobbledeegooker. It was awful. But then the WWF got some competition, and suddenly the company went from that to having 3 of the hottest stars on TV in The Rock, Austin, and the diabolical Mr. McMahon. Lesson being that Vince tends to treat WWE like his own personal toy set when there's no pressing reason not to.

I knew there was another side to the story of the Stone Cold disaster. I actually knew about Moxley's upbringing and knew he doesn't talk about it. I was surprised to hear Austin try and dig into that off the bat. That was stupid and kinda showed his ignorance as an interviewer. You don't try and peel back all the layers right off the bat like that. You gotta dig into it if you're gonna go there on a person in an interview. I wish he would have said "Fuck it" and told Austin to kiss his ass and leave but as he said Vince was standing right there playing Big Daddy as usual. Austin didn't do anything he hasn't done with the hundreds of other guests he's interviewed. He always dives into their lives outside of wrestling. I don't necessarily agree with the "buying the indies" thing . Hes right in theory but... Just because wwe/nxt offers you a contract doesn't mean you have to sign with them. The performers have to take it upon themselves to look at the larger picture. For example, why would kushida sign with wwe seeing how shinsuke and asuka have been treated. Why did shane Strickland sign with them when they have Montez Ford who is a better version of shane Strickland (imo). These wrestlers can complain about how bad vince is all day and how hhh is destroying the indies but theyll keep getting away with it . Why?? Because no matter how bad wwe is precieved to be. Its still gonna be seen as the ultimate goal. Main eventing or at the very least performing at mania or having a wwe Championship reign on your resume is still the ultimate goal for any wrestler in any company. That's why what the elite is doing is so important to the health of the industry. Giving the performers another dream to shoot for. As prestigious as the IWGP Heavyweight Championship is the Japanese guys are always gonna get first dibs unless someone like aj, Lesnar, vader or angle come along. And right now only pac, punk and bryan could go into NJPW and get the AJ treatment. Roh and impact have made more stars than wwe has over the past 20 years but impact has been cursed by incompetence on the business side and ROH is saddled with ownership that doesn't recognize its worth as a company to pump some money into compete on a truly serious level and a creative philosophy of placing loyalty over popularity. I respect matt taven and i love Jay Lethal but there is no reason why Marty scrull shouldn't be roh champion right now or any at least a new Japan guy like Tanahashi who has stated hed love to Be roh champion to finish his career hasnt even been considered for such a thing. AEW has a chance even more so than wcw or ecw to break the cycle of dependence on wwe . But the performers have to be willing to take chance to help build up companies like aew, impact, roh, mlw or njpw, for long hauls rather than seeing them as stepping stones or audition tapes for wwe/nxt

the performance can be fake but the performers/wrestlers don't have to be, and that's where the best wrestling is to be found and what makes the fans pop, ieam you wouldn't have steve austin take shit off no god damn writers, he would make a sketch of him bursting into the writers room and stunnering them all in their pencil necks. for example, stone cold *bursts through door "exuse me guys, i just have some questions about my lines tonight" writer *quivering "w-what, do..." SCSA "wat!?" *stunner.

Because WWE have become control freaks! They’ve always been like this since the Hulk Hogan days in the 80’s. The Shawn and Bret era was when they slowly started moving away from the cookie cutter, scripted PG product and started to develop a more edgier product in 1997. The only time they ever cared about making things entertaining and interesting was the 90’s and early 2000’s. That’s because WCW was such a threat to them back then, so they had to put in a lot of effort to make a great show. Once they bought WCW, they slowly moved back to their overly PC ways for good and likely won’t stop presenting themselves like that anytime soon. The PG rating since 2008, has been making them too comfortable and lazy. Plus it makes them a lot of money with merchandise sold to little kids, so it’s unfortunate.

Look at Lars Sullivan's first big promo. The perfect example of a horrible script ruining a wrestler...

Is not sour grapes 🍇 Moxley is just simply keeping it real 💯 because Vince is running The WWE like the 3rd Reich. The only thing Vince does is kill off characters as he pleases but today is a new day in professional wrestling because AEW is breathing new life into the business so Vince better shape up or ship out. I never thought wrestling could be exciting like it was the 90s and WWE & WCW were the only two giants in the business.

Do ratings actually matter? Because they have an app, shouldnt subscription numbers matter more? No one has given me a straight answer so I would like you guys input
@SirJoelsuf15 жыл бұрын
Not anymore. No real competition, and WWE gets money from sponsors who don't care about their numbers.

I remember dean Ambrose wasn’t scripted and was interviewed on Steve Austin’s podcast on the network he was the most wooden, stuttering performer I’ve ever seen was boring as hell. We will see how far his ideas and creative control get him on aew and the indies I hope he does well and he’s not wrong with many of the things he’s said here and in interviews but he’s soooooo defeatist and comes across so all knowing for someone who hasn’t done anything big before he came to wwe he was hitting people with hedge cutters in czw
@justablokepostingfunvids71375 жыл бұрын
Diverting Tales I get what your saying but part of being a top guy is being good on the fly. Austin,rock, angle, cena etc are all great on the fly they don’t just take the huff when things don’t go they’re way. Sure he is over everyone is when they leave wwe usually it all depends if he can keep the momentum going. I like him a lot but I think this is all just short term gain.
@justablokepostingfunvids71375 жыл бұрын
Diverting Tales it was great but he’s riding momentum can he keep it up for rest of the year. Everyone has some good ideas but few performers or wrestlers have good ones for they’re whole career we will see how many home runs he has in him
@deeznutz31055 жыл бұрын
Just a Bloke are you dumb? You're saying he needs to be scripted? Did you even listen to the podcast? He built his name on his moxley promos before coming to wwe. You sound incredibly dumb.
@justablokepostingfunvids71375 жыл бұрын
Deez Nutz thanks for that, I’m not saying he needs to be scripted completely but u need writers to help or other veterans. U can’t just have every talent writing all they’re own stuff but they should have they’re own input and ideas taken into account. But he’s so negative in these interviews. Sure some knew him but not a big amount he was wrestling in fields and high school gyms before wwe

this day and age, when you vent or tell the truth, you're negative..... I cant wait for this good vibe bullshit to die out. people want to be heard, they need an outlet, something to get their frustrations out. cant stand this negative shit just because someone vents.

Talk is chea--- ...well, let's say it's very cost efficient. Now free from the prison that was run by senile old Vince, we expect nothing less than pure creative brilliancy from The Mox in AEW, and of course from AEW in general. Created by a bunch of people who have been held back by Vince in their creative genius for far too long, backed by a multi billionaire who loves the sport, we are in for something truly amazing. Might I add that it has already started. Double or nothing has brought us mint new ideas unseen and unheard of before. Just take the figureheads of AEW, Cody and Brandy, for example. Never before have we seen a power couple playing the authority figures------ oh wait! Hunter and Steph! But this time it will be completely different for sure.

I think he was burnt out. He pitched a lot of ideas, never got picked, it’s a hard job (which I never thought about) entertaining like that. So if you know the company isn’t going to use you for your ideas but just for your I guess showmanship, I think it’s probably better to leave.
