I’ve been in a rut for a year but I used to make songs all the time on GarageBand iPhone. This video was mostly stuff I already taught myself, but you helped me understand why it works and gave me some ideas. I’ll be back if you post more mobile GarageBand tutorials.

Pro tip: BUY THE APPLE ADAPTER specifically for the 3.5mm-to-lightning/USB-C. I bought a highly rated third party adapter and the phone was tricked into thinking there was a microphone (maybe related to the internal DAC not sure), thus disabling the internal phone mic. Bought the Apple adapter instead and everything worked good.

My thing i wish is that if i choose a different setting like lead vocals or radio ready or any of those effects you lose all your EQ’s and presets on that next track so have to redo it all. It would be sweet if it had a bar in settings to keep presets per mic setting etc… It’s very helpful when you have a 2nd track in a different sound for ad libs etc that and would be sweet if they made an auto preset based on how your voices peaks etc would be cool cause then could click that hear one sound that your voice good with or another that sounds different but also recording ready etc or just any auto mix feature for vocals/instruments.

Useful as there are settings there I didn’t know existed. Something worth mentioning which I learned the hard way. Don’t use a Bluetooth out device as there will be latency.
