After a lot of trying and testing on my previous character, I'm somehow almost convinced that Carian Slicer is WAY faster when the staff is used in your left hand rather than right. Like, good 30% faster.

@@nottherealspartan false info. I tested it again and it seems it was just an impression I had when I created a new character which was wielding the staff in opposite hand than my previous one, and I guess the difference between having and not having the Radagon's Icon is pretty damn huge.

@@Bug-Intercourser i know, the other character was still low level enough that i was focusing INT, mind and vigor before dex, and when low level caster i use Radagon's icon. Somehow i valued that way more than the 4% damage incresse from the Graven talisman XD

radagons icon gives an equivalent of 30 levels in dex, which is pretty significant if you don't level it at all

The crucial thing about PvE poise that I've noticed many players miss is that you can poisebreak enemies much more easily if you maintain at least some damage so that their poise doesn't have time to recover. It doesn't matter how low the damage from an attack, skill, item or spell is, it will end up disrupting the poise recovery. My favorite method for this is darts/throwing knives as they are fast to use. When the enemy retreats or I disengage, I start throwing a knife/dart every 2-4 seconds. If the enemy happens to get beyond the range of throwing knives/bone darts, I use kukris, as they have superior range.

I actually really like the mage balancing for this game. Sure it takes out some of the challenge, but it forces you to focus on good timing, movement, and resource management, teaching and reinforcing good habits instead of being antithetical to the rest of the gameplay

I really dislike how as mage you have to use two resources to cast fp which makes sense... BUT WHY STAMINA that's fucking dumb, so either cast or survive, it shouldn't be linked stamina at all basically my wondrous is useless cause i burn all stamina in like 3 seconds on cast, so basically on wondrous flask i lose 10 seconds of it waiting on staminia which is dumb then i have no evasion in that like tbh FS games are mid at best they are becoming a bethesda company where everyone just says "Welcome to FS games, thats just a FS game" etc etc making excuses they rode the high at start then laxed standards. mage should be you take a ton of damage if you make mistakes but you do a shit ton of damage where as melee do less damage but take like 3 times as many hits as casters but tying stamina with any attacks is stupid and always has been FS are a majority of screw you cheap shot mechanics over actual difficulty. with all that being said yeah caster is really fun lmao

It's not that hard when u get used to it and has its pros considering camera movement^^... The real problem starts when you play other games but u r used to Fromsofts weird Mouse&Keyboard key assignment xDD For example when you start pressing shift+E+Mouse-scroll-up to switch your weapon in Assassins Creed you definitely know that Fromsoft fucked with your mind pretty hard XD

She can't actually dodge the night spells in a literal sense. She gets hit and takes damage which she registers and tells her she's under attack so by default she adjusts her position to prevent you from fully spamming the night spell. In normal playthroughs you just need to charge Night Comet to bypass that

Radahn uses gravity magic to not kill the horse, in the lore the horse is his best friend and spent time to learn the gravity magic to ride the horse without hurting or killing it, he even has a moveset where he pushes the horse under the ground using gravity magic to do his move to not hit the horse, even with scarlet rot he still is good guy

My recommended way for fighting the Elden Beast is by using the black flame tornado ash of war. There are only 1 or 2 attacks that give us enough time to use it fully, but it deals % damage. When it breaths fire, you can chip around 30% of its health in a single charged cast.

Last time I was fighting Malenia on NG+7 I finished her with Carian Piercer, it's pretty good against her at max casting speed (you need to offhand Azur's Staff+equip Radagon's Icon to get there without leveling dex) actually got her first try on that playthrough which is very rare for me even after 1600 hours of experience.

you do know, there's a staff, that boosts night magic dmg by a lot. Hold it in your left hand to get the DMG bonus, while casting with the highest spellbuff staff in your right hand. (staff of loss +30% dmg for night shard and night comet)

You could’ve probably did more damage to Godfrey by using night shard as you can do the same actions as swift glintstone shard while being able to buff its damage 30% by holding the staff of loss in the off hand (a few other people recommended this staff as well for melania it seems)
