Hey J.B. I grew up in Ventura and I just found out about the San Francisquito Dam collapse in the 20’s (built by Mullholland, an engineer with little experience) It killed 600 people, and washed out the path all the way to Oxnard beach. No one really talks about it. I wouldn’t be surprised if all the area is haunted!

The Pacific Grove " Pt. Pinos Tidepools" area is part of an ancient (10,000 yrs) Ohlone/Esselen Village. Native cemetery stretches throughout the area, all the way down to Hopkins Marine Station. The area is active by way of orbs, shadows, and actual apparitions. The Pacific Grove Cemetery sits next to the municipal golf course. Native figures have been seen on the golf course....in the cemetery, the mausoleum has lots of orbs. Another area in the cemetery, is near the crematorium.....there is what looks like a large rock pile, that in fact rests cremains. You can see orbs on your camera screen, but if you try to snap a picture, your camera will either "jam" or your battery will be drained. The Pt. Pinos Lighthouse (across the street from the cemetery/golf course) is said to be haunted. I explored that area...nothing. If you need a place to stay in Pacific Grove....the Olympia Lodge....(room 115) The Olympia Lodge sits right next to the cemetery/golf course....easy walk....few steps. Big Sur Lighthouse also said to be haunted. If you decide to head up to San Francisco...stop at Pigeon Point Lighthouse....our (three of us) cameras "jammed" and batteries drained. One of my friendsthought she saw a woman in black out of the corner of her eye. When she turned to look...nothing. Strange place.

Forgot to mention.... The Hotel Del Monte....or....now called....Hermann Hall. Also haunted. Years ago, there was a local woman who took pictures of the staircase in the hotel. When she looked at her photo, there was an apparition of a little girl standing near the staircase. This same apparition has been seen many times, however that photo was published in the local paper. My brother and sister-in-law stayed at that hotel. One day they were slowly walking up the staircase, admiring the hotel...they heard and felt someone walking up behind them, so they stepped aside to allow that person to pass....when they turned around...nobody there.

@@pedestrianandroid I lived in Pacific Grove for 23 years.... One weekend family came up to visit....my sister stayed at the Olympia Lodge....while she was there strange things happened. The bathroom water would turn on....lights would turn on and flicker. One evening, she was watching television.....she saw an orb exit the bathroom, and disappear beneath the television. That same evening, she said the bed comforter on one of the beds folded back on its own....that was the last straw...she fled the room and ended up on my doorstep.

Alfred Hitchcock filmed the Byrd's on location at the town and nearby beaches of Bodega CA. It's a very well documented fact the town church was in the movie. The town of Bodega a Saloon and a market specifically are haunted and for a long time but the movie added to the haunting too.

Redondo Beach IS DEFINITELY haunted... I accidentally have footage.
Bakers beach was my beach as a kid. I had a feeling it was on this list and what do you know. Never had any strange things happening there necessarily but ss much history that happened there it has to be haunted also it's kind of isolated place. Deadly Shark attacks, drownings in the undertoe, ship recks and jumpers from the bridge do wash up there. Which make wonder about the golden gate bridge itself being haunted, hundreds of more people killed themselves there.
