WSJ editor Gerald. Interesting that I can hear a frank argument for Trump side from an intelligent man. I always wondered who in the world will support Trump after all we’ve seen while he was in office. Transactional. For personal and in-group’s gain. And all the crazy stuff he says and does, that does not impact my own finances/power, is ignored.
@datasciyinfo51332 ай бұрын
Also seems to believe that Shapiro had to be the stronger choice for Harris, simply because Trump’s team was much more worried about Shapiro and not at all worried about Walz. Hummm, you are not allowing for any other world views. Could it be that in the final analysis, Walz was considered a stronger choice than Shapiro by the Harris team? That is what they said. But all the given reasons are discounted as fake reasons, because they make no sense in Mr Gerald’s world view. I heard that in the end, both Pelosi and Obama, as well as many democratic congressmen and women lobbied for Walz over Shapiro. The correct response is to ask “what am I missing here”, instead of automatically assuming Shapiro was passed over only or primarily because of anti-semitism in the democratic party. Democrats were evenly divided over Walz and Shapiro. I happen to be in the Walz half. But time will tell. I would not underestimate Walz, at any rate. He is the current contender.

Minnesota National Guard Leaders Expose Tim Walz for Stolen Valor, Lying About His Rank, and Quitting When His Unit Was Deployed to Iraq. "As soon as the shots were fired in Iraq, he turned and ran the other way and hung his hat up and quit," said Tom Behrends, a retired command sergeant major who replaced Gov. Tim Walz on a deployment to Iraq. When he was a congressman, you know, he bragged that he was a retired command sergeant major: "I'm the highest-ranking person ever in the House," and, you know, all this lie that he was telling the state of Minnesota came out after 2018. After this was exposed, they said, "Well, he can say that he served as a command sergeant major, but he can't say he's a retired one because he's not." Source: X, I Meme Ther...

Walz offers great experience of navigating governors(former chair) and the house(which Kamala does not have). He gives the joy vibe which works well vs the retribution/anger vibe. He can also land attacks fairly well. He has 24 years service/teacher/ivf so has a good story. He also appears to get on well with people including Harris (even trump). His house record is moderate/bipartisan, his governor record is progressive, so he can work with what he has. Shapiro had Pennsylvania/great rhetorical speaking and youth but likely didn’t fit as well plus seemed to have baggage. Republicans say they are delighted she didn’t pick Shapiro so everyone is happy yay. Please at least try and have a balanced view.
