Anyways, electric vehicles are an inevitability so it doesn't surprise me that the people who are trying to move us from fossil fuels are trying to profit off electrification of vehicles. Oddly enough, national politicians' stock portfolios tend to outperform the stock market and leading stock traders by a substantial amount. And yes, knowing ahead of time what laws are going to be passed and how they'll affect major public companies is a huge help in that.

@@AlphaCarinae It's actually the other way around--expanding highways and other car-centric infrastructure encourages people to own cars and drive more, especially if there's no better way to get from place to place (eg effective public transit). It's a form of induced demand, and it's why highway congestion never goes away for longer than a few years no matter how much the highway is expanded.

I have never found a video so entertaining, informative and so infuriating at the same time. In Sydney Australia, it costs about 1.2 million for a house which is like 15 times the annual income of an “average person.” For a long time i was wondering why the government wasn’t trying to fix this but in this one video has shown me that the individuals in those positions are the ones making the policies and reaping the benefits from the disgusting prices. If they make it better, they loose their investments.
