The VHS tapes can't get you every skill. It's not just aiming and reloading guns, all the melee skills, nimble and so on can only be trained by fighting. Having unlimited ammo, food and water covers some basic needs but you are NOT a superman. Heck, you can still die by just crashing your car somewhere and of course be killed by zombies. There were so few when he triggered those alarms and using shotguns typically also attract more than that, so they probably hat pretty low population settings. I mean, when you die in Zomboid, it is almost never out of starvation, dehydration or something like that. Not even trying to get food and water. The true killer is boredom and overconfidence. Even with maxed out skills a large enough horde will kill you! There are fatigue and exhaustion mechanics in this game and they get worse the more of your duplicated items you carry around. You can overheat, panic or get sick. You need to sleep. You can't even sit in your house all day because it'll depress you and - again - eventually a roaming zombie horde will knock at your door. Now, I don't have any experience with multiplayer servers, I heard that you don't need to sleep in those, on the other hand PvP is a thing, you might get mugged etc.

As _The Zombie Survival Guide_ teaches us, the best firearms to fight against the zombie horde are a handgun and rifle both chambered for .22 rimfire rounds. Powerful enough for initial cranial penetration, but not powerful enough for exit penetration, so the bullet bounces around inside the skull, scrambling the brain and ensuring expiry. .22 rimfire rounds are lightweight, so you can carry a whole bunch at once, and no need to pack different ammo for your primary and sidearm.
@Hellhound236912 жыл бұрын
.22 not having enough power to exit the skull is a myth. And even if the back the skull DID stop it, the round wouldn't ricochet around inside. It would just smash itself against the wall. Max Brooks writes a damn good book, but he should learn about ballistics. AcKcHUAlLY

So, just thought of a fun idea on how to play Project Zomboid. The Leech; On apocalypse mode, you have a minimum of 3 players, a leech. The leech has every single negative trait, and you have to be a Lumberjack The hosts can be whatever character they want to build. However, players can not have duplicates of careers. So there can not be another Lumberjack. The goal is to keep the Leech alive as possible or to at least establish a settlement. Whats considered an established settlement? - Renewable food - Renewable water - Some form of a bed/mat for each player to sleep on.

another fun fact about the current multiplayer build: you can place down a container in the world (like a lunchbox, or a placed backpack) with everything inside of it, take things out of it... walk away and do something else for a while and the container will have magically repopulated all of the contained items. i BELIEVE this has something to do with the fact that you've placed a non-permanant item in the world with items inside, but it also exists on any other persons game as well (with all the items), you take items from the container, but on the other person's client they still exist, so the server compensates by populating the bag for all players. also, pancakes in ovens do this a lot.... for some reason.
@Chromaz2 жыл бұрын
theres an even easier way so you just store things in backpacks on the floor and when you remove an item it will just be back in the bag magically if you leave the area or rejoin the server so if you have an axe, store it in a bag, pick it up use all its durability look back in the bag you stored it in originally and bam theres a brand new axe

Wait. Was Jesus just able to feed the 5000 with 5 loaves and 2 fish because his dad created the game and told him all the exploits?

That's a wonderful comment on game logic for leveling up skills! If you reverse engineer enough TVs you suddenly know how to build a fusion reactor. I just feel a bit guilty drinking coffee instead of tea watching this video.

I'm glad to see PZ getting some loving. I've been with it since the early days of B41, many others since back with old npcs.

I love Connor's commentary. He'll be completely straightforward and dry and then just come out with the most God awful joke and I crack up every time.

yknow, you don't need to destroy the entire electronic population of riverside to man a generator, you just need a magazine called "how to operate a generator" which spawn in post boxs and sometimes in houses or in bookshops so yeah
