Wouldn't any Act of Treason effect bring Ob permanently back because such spells give at the end of turn control over a creature to their OWNER rather than controller?

Guilded Drake is a different breed of card that is more like mass manipulation, agent of treachery, etc. Blue steal effects tend to be permanent while red effects are typically until end of turn.

​@@xCobrazzzx My english is probably not good enough to explain clearly what I mean but I'll try again but with a simple step-by-step list :D 1. Player A casts Guilded Drake and exchanges control over it with another target creature 2. Player B - owner of that targeted creature - plays Act of Treason gaining control over stolen card 3. The turn ends and a stolen creature remains under the control of their owner because of the game rules I don't know exactly what rules, that's why i wanted to ask in comments to clarify my misunderstanding :)

@@tilleruez6869 I'm so sorry. I read it faster than I comprehended and thought you may have gotten mixed on why OB didn't go back. No, not unless the card specifically says "it returns under its owner's control at the end of turn." Act of treason says you "gain control of target creature until end of turn", so it specifically wouldn't work for what you're saying. Some things do say that, and homeward path will also send it back to its original owner. But Act of Treason effects are not common in Cedh so it would most likely not come up.

Is it just me or is it kind of wild to use a dark ritual to cast a praetor's grasp to get a jeweled lotus? I guess you go up 1 mana for 2 cards.

it filters, steals your opponent's chance of a lotus, and you can cast it for free. it was the different between getting Ob out next turn or not, so it kind of makes sense

The One Ring deals one damage to the player for EACH counter. If it has 2 counters, the controller loses 1 life twice, which means Ob nix should trigger twice.
