Marina Vendrell just seems so anemic compared to most other modern commanders. 5 colors, 3/5 without Haste, an ability that is only relevant to a certain enchantment subtype (that isn't all that good to begin with from what I've seen), and for all that trouble you get to MAYBE draw 1-4 cards that don't impact the game until you untap, cast and resolve them. Compare that to a Kona that is much easier and a bit cheaper to cast, is ridiculously easy to enable right away, and it requires your deck to play big dumb things in green. It's just not even close unfortunately.

Really wanted to build her, but felt the rooms really didn't have a win con besides that one room. They don't all mesh together enough to run them all to win. And watching this series proved to me that it just durdles. I was expecting to see people with like 10 rooms by the end of the game but nope

Really cool interaction with Val is if you have exquisite blood , mind crank , ancient cellarspawn and Val out , it works as essentially a combo finish(as long as you’re playing against a deck that isn’t 90 percent lands )
