Note that in the end the line Shinan described to win doesn’t work since Thrasios puts the Boseiju in play. Instead he would put Reclamation Sage in play to kill the Eidelon. Thorn Mammoth would be the line in current meta version of Kinnan.

Thrasios would put boseiju onto the battlefield tapped so you would have to draw into a bounce spell and go for it on the next turn with eidolon of rhetoric in play, doubtful that anyone could win at instant speed at that point but it is possible

Really shows the current weakness to stax. They can shut the other players out too much and if you don't have anything to follow up the stax piece you inadvertently kingmaked someone. Also keeping that 3 card hand (land, mana crypt, eidolon) as a first or second 7 going third is just a huge whiff. That said I loved the video, shows how important mulliganing is.

The only thing is thrasios must put the lands in play so u need either a bounce land or to use prophet of distortion (im not sure on his list)to draw the deck instead of thrasios

Spoilers below! Boseiju would've come into play tapped since it's a land, right? So the Eidolon couldn't have been removed this turn and so the finale couldn't have been played, giving the table a turn to deal with things. Still a fun game regardless!

@@AceRichardson-v6l the way it was narrated, he "drew his deck with thrasios", but Thrasios puts any lands directly into play tapped - so no BSJ in hand possible. There are other ways, like not putting Skyturtle into play as a creature, but insted drawing it with thrasions and channeling it to bounc e the eidolon. (or moonsnare prototype as per linked list in description)

Wheeler jokes about Leyline of Anticipation but I legit have it included in a deck, and there has been a stack war over removing it. Definitely not an inclusion I would make if I didn’t absolutely love the idea of including a leyline, but it does perform when it is on the table.

Loved the video but just a heads up the Rogsi list you featured is kinda steeped in drama and also not very good. I won’t bore you with the details but the Rogsi lists that are actually doing well in tournaments are spin offs of the iteration legacy content creator Bryant Cook has written the primer for. Actually really surprised you didn’t show his list. Bryant puts up a ton of work and results. Natux’s list is only on the DDB because Natux is a mod there. It is a deck with no positive tournament results.

I'm glad you took the time to write out an explanation rather than dunking on me like a lot of others do, but for the purposes of this show I don't think it matters a whole lot. We're not tournament grinders and the decks we choose to play on the show don't resemble the current tournament meta, so tournament results aren't really at the top of my mind when I'm picking decks.

The deck runs Reclamation Sage. So just spins kinnan until he hits that and that'll blow up the Eidilon. Even if Sage wasn't in list, he could still have easily bounced it on next players upkeep and then had his whole deck in hand for everyone else's turns.
