The help you are mentioning should start with her teammates. Then the coaching staff. Then the refs. And finally the WNBA. Start handing out fines for flagrant fouls. When they lose money, then they will adjust. But I have yet to see her teammates stand up for her. Not much more expected i guess from this bunch.

The NBA players have been helping the WNBA financially. If Caitlyn Clark raises the WNBA to the point that it is self-sufficient, they won't have to do that anymore. It's in their best interest. WNBA players don't understand that. They only care about themselves. They have proven to be not worth saving. Clark is protecting them even off the court. In her interviews, "It's a physical game." and "It is what it is." She loves the game of basketball and the WNBA. They are so lucky that she does. She will save them despite themselves. She is a true professional. She was drafted into the WDF. (Women's Dumpster Fire) Now, she plays in the WNBA. This is very clear - If you dislike or hate her, your Wrong. You are also seriously outnumbered. The Caitlyn Clark Effect is Quite Real.

@brianwebb2453; It could be they understand it only too well. If the WNBA becomes viable, they could lose their subsidy, then they would HAVE to maintain the standards to keep the viewers and sponsors and survive. I would suggest there are a lot of divas and people with "interest" in the game who would not or could not cope with that situation. They certainly do not want to find the work load and dedication needed. It is a shame for all the decent players who want to develop, not just Caitlin.

What really gets to me is that her teammates don't defend her. Some of the cheap shots she has taken from opposing players would clear the bench if any NBA player took one like that. Yet, her teammates do nothing. They don't even help her off the floor. Pathetic.

I’m sorry but I’ve never watched women’s basketball until Caitlin came on the seen so I don’t even know who Angel Reese is. That is until I saw videos of her acting entitled, arrogant and childish, and thinking that she’s the only one in her team that makes points. I appreciate Caitlin because she plays the game. She’s not trying to put someone down or bully someone she is simply playing for the love of the game. I’ve said this before protect Caitlin at all cost because someone’s going to try and hurt her so that she can play. MVP is not a Popularity Contest. What single player has brought the most Value to the WMBA? This is a no brainer. Who are the fans watching? Viewership is how the WNBA gets paid. Who has created the most interest in the WNBA? Has the WNBA ever been this popular? The WNBA better be paying attention.

@petegarnett7731
@petegarnett7731 Ай бұрын
There seems to be more of trhe old fashioned idea of fair play and appreciation of the quality of the opposition still in most of Europe etc. even in women's sports. On Saturday, the two best ladies rugby teams in the world (England and New Zealand) played a physically intensive game for 80 minutes including a number of injuries, then shook hands and hugged. There was some VERY hard physical play, but no nastiness of any sort. Several of the hardest players are mothers. As a side note, when the New Zealand team arrived they were introduced to King Charles and asked him for a hug. His answer was "why not"? He got hugged witha vengeance by a mass of large powerful (and mainly dark skinned) young ladies. That's SPORT.

This is how you know the WNBA is bush league, and will ultimately fail. Wayne Gretzky was in his early NHL career, he was skating up the ice with the puck and his head down (A BIG NO NO), and a rookie from the opposing team, laid him straight out. A legal and clean hit. Later that week the rookie was sent down to the minors, and he was out of hockey within a year. Can you spot the not-so-subtle warning the NHL made?
