He's looking a good deal stronger physically than he was a couple of years ago- and at 21 will still get stronger... He still a bit too tight in the upper body, "pushing" beyond 60m+, but he'll soon improve that...

lol.. He's STILL in college at almost 23. Future? His future is to retire after graduating and coach. Look at the top 20 ranked runners in the world and tell me how he's supposed to compete against them in pros? Hell, the record holding under 20 champ ran 9.91 WHILE SLOWING DOWN and showboating, and he couldnt' survive the qualifying rounds at worlds Tremendous future... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

PREACH! Everywhere Smith -Gilbert goes, she produces sprinting excellence. From UCF (Octavious Freeman), to USC (TT Terry, Kendall Ellis, Michael Norman , Rai Benjamin, etc), Smith-Gilbert has the proper techniques to improve sprinters. Notice the drop in times for Boling after just 1 full academic year with her. I put Smith-Gilbert with Holloway (Florida), Shaver (LSU), Floreal (Texas), and Henry (TAMU) as the best coaches in Track & Field. Much respect!

Flexibility is a huge factor in running actually
@Philipp_-cp2xw
@Philipp_-cp2xw 2 жыл бұрын
@@bensilvers2241 Dude it's a huge advantage, when you are sprinting alot of factors matter but having really good flexibility means he can pull his knee very high and explode back down from that position like a gazelle. The reason most body builders are not elite spriners is because they are mostly stiff and can't pull their knee very high and accelerate their lower body fast enough. Leg strength is important too but if your body can't apply that force the right way into the ground you still will be slow, so flexibility and others aspect play a big role for sprinters.
@davidtarantino152
@davidtarantino152 2 жыл бұрын
Stretching before a race will actually make you slower. It’s like taking the spring out of a slinky. You need very little flexibility to sprint compared to kicking. Getting strong will make you faster. At his age most of it is his genetics and strength training making him fast. I’ve held the record in the 100. Meters in my town for 36 years and I can tell you I stretched too much and lifted too little.

Even 20 mins easy basketball approach layups, the dominant hand dribbling would be his quicker splay hand drive during 100metre(block workouts top speed), preferably he dribbled right hand to convert that hand swing to the 200m curve outside hand. Those 50 inch 5 hurdle hops should be continuous like Jacobs, quick forefoot touch. For the previous post I meant those long jumps just a basketball layup continuous movement landing

While it may be true that Bolling ran a wind aided 19.92 once, until he lives at that time he shouldn't be given too much credit for a fluke race. He is still living at just over 20.0 and has been since high school. Another thing I will say is that just because Boling won indoors this year and he has always won indoors, many of the track and field channels are exaggerating his accomplishments of which most ppl will admit have disappointed since signing with UGA
