im not world class runner, not at all, but at one point during an 11 night run alone in a track with just my phone light, i went beyond my body (out of body experience) in the flow (super potent) and i felt invisible and invincible like i could run as fast as i can with no effort. i eventually stopped cus it was terrifying to see the limitless potential we have after 200 meters of sprint at the end of my long run. amazing!

I'm just a bro who has back issues, brain issues, recovery issues, unathletic body, but this is cool asf. At the moment I love learning about disc golf form, and have reached about 130m = 400~ft. After my broken toe heals I could go on track and see how fast I run, and I'm guessing it'd be about 16 seconds for 100m. Maybe in the upcoming summer I could take sprinting as a hobby and get me to something like 14 seconds. That would be hype. Gonna be watching technique videos a bunch

Hello, I have a question as an inexperienced individual to a professional. Starting this year, I plan to study sports education and I still need a pair of shoes: 1. for the sports aptitude test (100m sprint and 3000m run) and 2. afterwards for the track and field semester. I'm still undecided whether to buy spikes (I'm leaning towards the "Puma Evospeed Distance Nitro Elite+ 2" or the "Puma evoSPEED Star 8") or to stick with regular running shoes and use my indoor shoes for the sprint. I would greatly appreciate a response.

For any short legged track & field athlete... Mista B. Johnson, running form way, is a good starting template, when just referring to the sprinta type ones. Meanwhile, for any long-legged track & field athletes... Mista J. Gatlin; is also a good starting template, just referring to the sprinta type ones, as well. Yet, if one has an even torso and legs length; then Mista D. Bailey; is the best template; for having a great running form way; while referring to the sprinta type ones.

Hi, can you make a video on sprint starts, as there is a misunderstood concept of driving the knees forward, but that is not true as that leads to knee extension and over striding, but rather you should be popping your thighs forward and then push the feet back. or something like that. thats my weakness, I sprint and drive but can't push my feet back but rather down. then that turns to overstriding in the following several steps.

Distance running has more back side mechanics, so "an oval shape more behind the body" to use the same terms as in the video (2:30), and a longer and more relaxed ground contact. You can see the 4 shape, but long after ground contact. But in the discussions with the other coaches, they mention overstriding/overstepping and the trade-off between stride length and frequency… These are general mechanic concepts: they do apply in distance running. Watch the " Running Analysis: Running the FASTEST Marathon Ever (Eliud Kipchoge) " video.

Hi, love your channel!!! So I'm just getting into running(extremely fit and capable) and watched about 50 hours of different videos on high performance shoes:) I'm not really exaggerating...😬 Here's my list I'm wanting a shoe that does everything REALLY WELL if possible. Also I have taken up sprinting for about 50 yards so I'm also wanting a non spiked shoe to do 50 yard HIT training.. Any and all suggestions welcome. One shoe to rule them all would be great, But if I really am needing two shoes to do both short distance running and sprinting that is fine. Doesn't matter about the budget. I just want what makes the best sense, But it would be nice if one shoe like the SUPERBLAST might do both really well.. Thoughts ??? -ASICS NIMBUS 25 -ASICS SUPER BLAST -Puma DEVIATE NITRO elite 2 -HOKA MACH 5😊 -Nike Pegasus turbo SE -NIKE PEGASUS 39

3:30 well this is objectively wrong lol This is what results in choppy, less powerful strides -sprinters trying to intentionally shorten ground contact time which they dont have the ability to do via being stronger and faster

Analyze Marita Koch's technique and then tell me about front side mechanics. She had almost none.

The complete fail of knowledge about sprint has generated what could be called a struggling history of useless attempts to explain and compell that any training can increase the speed. A parte the dichotomy between length and frequency which was almost clear about 40 years ago at least. Squat has no emulation with sprint and was adopted on the base that it is supposed to train the explosivity. unfortunately is not so full true is useful..I mean it can help to increase explosively but it depends and however very relative since the explosivity may interest the initial fase...after 30 meters is another matter..first the overload n the squat is suffered by the back and knee and this limit the training,..second, squat is bipodalic while the running is monopodalic and this means that do not train to transfer the increased weight force..the training on the sand is one of those attempt to develop the force who i was talking about before..another one is run with naked foot ...a part the risk to damage feet but there is no overload other than the own body
