Calling this a fantastic interview undersells it. If you're a perenial skeptic, you'll hear Kinnear's arguments as excuses. If you're more reasonable, it's insight into the decision making. At the very least Kinnear comes across as honest in delivery and frankly I have no reason to believe he's playing language games or is purposely obtuse or evasive. Thought the questions were respectfully and professionally framed, not surprising consider how Michael and Dan approach their craft. If you're not inside the business, it's hard to appreciate how the machine works. Fans need to be educated or understand it's never as simple as we think and the number of cogs in the gears are beyond our comprehension. Doesn't mean our opinions are necessarily wrong or that their decisions were optimal, but I'm not inclined to look for blame (when I'm at my better self). I'm curious. I want to know why. This episode satisfies that need. Dan/Michael, excellent work. Thank you for being reputable and trusted. Doesn't happen if TSB is some throw away click-bait podcast.

He also needs to acknowledge his mistakes in not challenging the Orta regime on transfers and the debts we still owe. What lessons have we learned from that. I am also unclear about the intent of Red Bull. Whilst he is calming of the situation, they will want a return like all investors, that’s when we really have to be watchful about stadium sponsorship and name changes. So why are they continuing to take money from 22,000 people on an ever-growing paid waiting list when in reality none of us will ever get a season ticket probably in our lifetimes given theres only about 30 tickets given up per year on renewal?
