Really good quick rundown of what's out there. I ski the Rossi Hero 140/97 last. The stock liners fit well for two weeks then the daily rebuckle started. So I went to Zips. I got the Sidewinder and was blown away fro the first turn. The leather/cork holds like concrete, but comfy and reasonably warm. Money well spent given you can switch to new shells for years to come. They did stiffen up my 140s so I pulled the upper heel screw and now are perfect. Bumps, crud or powder not to mention groomers all good. I live in JHWY and ski a lot: starting my second season with Zips.

Which liner has the tallest profile. I’m in a Lange RS and just replaced the liner with intuition fx race. There is little tongue to fasten the booster strap like before. I feel less connected when stepping on the gas peddle. Leaning towards zipfit, but noticed you had a liner in this video that stood very tall. Cheers!

Can you show some liners for snowboard boots? :)

Well, we could try, but we don't know anything about snowboard boots except that they fit like slippers! Around here we're ski only. 😁

Why do you guys prefer the sidas to intuition? Trying decide between the two for touring. Cheers

The goal with any liner option is to fill the needs of the specific foot in the specific shell. So, it’s not that we prefer Sidas to Intuition, they just each solve different problems. Now apples to apples, a heat moldable Intuition tongue style liner vs. a Sidas moldable tongue liner in an alpine boot, it’s really splitting hairs. For a touring specific application, I’d go with Intuition Pro Tours in the correct volume for your shell and foot. And as much as we love ZipFit, the GFT’s are heeeeavy.

How do I measure my feet or boots to determine if I should buy high/mid/low volume zipfit?

LV comes stock with less cork. HV comes with more. Depends on the fit you are trying to achieve. But if you have a lv boot, lv liner is likely the way and same for hv

@ I see. I’m skiing in Atomic Hawx Magna 130, so I’ll probably need a HV, better find a store that I can try it on🤔

Generally speaking, match the volume of your boot (assuming it was correctly fit). Your basic measurements for mondo point, arch length, and width is gauged using a brannock device.

Do zip fits ever go on sale ? Or are you always paying full retail no matter what time of year
@Starthaus

I'm sure you could find them on sale somewhere in the spring. We tend to sell out before we can ever get to that point!

How warm are Zipfits relative to the other options?
@Starthaus
@Starthaus 11 күн бұрын
Generally speaking, Intuition and ZipFit's are warmest. Lots of tricks in the toolbox though- heated footbeds to disposable warming packs to heated socks. For some people, heat moldable liners (especially those from Intuition) will be warmest.

I've had Intuition and Zip Fit liners and wouldn't give-up Intuition Powerwrap liners for anything. I've been using Intuition liners for 30+ years. Zipfit liners are volume sensitive, even with adjustable filling ability. And my Intuition Powerwraps delivered just as much performance as the Zipfits and the Intuition was more comfortable and warmer and those count big time in helping you perform at a very high level.

@ - Thanks, that's interesting to hear! I run Intuition Tour Wraps at present, which are certainly warmer than stock, but not as much as I suspect your Power Wraps would be. And I too find they ski pretty well, stiffening up the boot relative to stock, but I have rather loose ankle hold. Which is why the Zipfit GFTs caught my attention. The extra weight is a bit of a deterrent, as is the tricky process of shifting the cork around into the right areas. As you put it the Zipfits sound like they would be very volume sensitive.

I run the Zipfit Corsa in a Head Raptor,Wcr 120. It is warm enough and has performance to boot. I initially bought the Gara Lv but could get my foot into the shell even with my skinny ankles. Changed if to Corsa. In the fitting processed a had to add quite a few tunes of cork to the sides and tongue but now it's absolutely perfect. I bought my own plunger to I could tinker with the fit myself it is easy to remove cork with an empty tube. Compared to the stock Liquidfit liner I was using which u had spent a lot of time getting right. The zipfit is miles ahead of it.

@ - Sounds good, but that there's a fair amount of different feelings/fits between the various Zipfit models. As I recall the Corsa is the race fit version? Assuming this is thinner than most, how do your toes fare, compared to the cork lined areas, on a very cold day?
