I like the fact that Windu sees through the force what is infecting Anakin and gives this leap of faith in him, showing him that even though they may have not seen eye to eye so many times, the master of the order always wanted what was best for Anakin. To my opinion every jedi in the council wanted what was best for everyone, but they were too blind, and perhaps even too proud of their old ways to see their mistakes. And saddly due to that, they were destroyed from within.

​@Torterra625 It wasn't right that the jedi did that, but they were also under immense pressure from the republic to hand her over. Palpatine and tarkin were both demanding that she be given a republic trial. Though it's also impossible to imagine that the trial would proceed too quickly, and for all we knew the jedi may have taken a deal where she dont be executed yet they doublecrossed it. Ahsoka had many people on the council that cared about her. Obi wan and plo koon especially had this event weight heavily on them. The jedi are only 10,000. Its already near impossible to imagine how they could handle so much with so little for so long.

I really liked this! Windu is such a static, one-dimensional character in the Prequel Trilogy, and especially considering his own personal lightsaber form, it didn't make sense to me that he refused to understand Anakin. I enjoyed the fresh take on him here! Also, Padme just knowing Anakin needed her was fantastic as well. Healthy relationships lend themselves to knowing when the other person needs you. Great what if!!

I agree almost completely. I think the Jedi would reform and allow him to stay in the order, especially with Ahsoka returning at the same time. Once the Jedi realized that hiding attachments is what led to palatine's manipulation. The Jedi went against nature trying to subdue emotions when they really should have been learning how to have healthy attachments. A proper outlet.

It wasnt hiding attachments, it was that attachments were selfish and anakin having lived a slave and forced to have such attachments was not meant to be a jedi. The difference was that the council knew attachments were his downfall all along, but had no idea being in the order with obi wan as his master made it that much worse. The jedi wouldve been wiser to have ensured teaching anakin without the stresses of courosant.

How many times the jedi must have played jedi russian roulette to figure out attachments are what cause all these wild risky events. Almost every jedi with strong attachments, albeit some deeper then others fall to the dark side. Attachments when directed and controlled properly do make a jedi stronger then those without often, but without a doubt make them far more vulnerable to corruption. If im able to make a great cake but only have a 50/50 chance of it coming out pretty good or a decent cake with a 90% chance to come out without issues, then odds are I'm probably gonna go for the 90. The jedi have had more then a few lessons that it doesnt take many sith to kill alot of people. I agree, jedi should have attachments, but if you really look at their perspective then it really doesn't make that much sense to allow attachments. Also, on the 50 percent chance where my cake does go bad it starts to try killing me is really not incentivizing.

Basically Padme meant so much to Anakin, that staying in the order; a place where attachments are forbidden that staying with them would do far worse for him than help. However because they weren't forcing him out, he could leave the order on good terms and still have allies and friends there.

I don't know if a lot of the stuff is canon any more but there's a few things to consider with the Jedi Council. GL said once that Jedi can have sex, have kids, but they can't have attachments, Ki-Adi-Mundi had 4 wives and a daughter while on the council. I don't think Anakin would've been forced to leave the order though, they still thought of him as the chosen one, and with the anger he had inside of him, he could just as easily turn to the dark side and form a new Empire in place of Palpatine. Best to keep people like that close.

Then i guess, Palps would have broken the stalemate with mace on his own, then be forced to induct Lord vader via a hologram by telling him to fridge Padme. This would mean Luke and laiya would be born from a bacta tank, but Palps would have an extra feat, making him that much more scary. There would be a better explanation for Padmes' exit from the franchise and provide a more powerful symbol for vadars turning to the dork side. Might better explain why darth doesn't suspect the existence of the wonder twins as well 🤔
