Dr Yo, I am fully recovered, apart from veeery sporadic seconds of some light dizziness. I have recovered my life, I have learnt so much about myself, and still learning, and I like my present life better than the one before. Ah, and I am hooked on doing exercise in the gym!

I can relate to you Parker...you seem like a highly sensitive person and empath ( as am i) ... withdrawal from fludrocortisone caused my symptoms but looking back on it i also had lots of stress, hypochondria, and constantly had negative thoughts leading up to and during the medication withdrawal. Thanks for sharing your story and best wishes with recovery. Dr Yo is 1 in a million , so glad i found this channel . You really learn a lot about yourself on this journey and realize your old ways were so harmful. It is unfortunate that it takes dizziness to realize this but you learn so much .

I think my issue is that I understand that it’s mind and body, but can’t seem to fully accept it. These last two weeks in trying to dive deep into my feelings and trying to calm my nerves as much as possible has made my symptoms worse. I know it’s a sign that I’m getting better due to symptom shifting, but my subconscious is telling me it’s not good and I’m unsafe. The hardest part of this journey is trying to not react out of fear of my symptoms. Feels like I’m stuck in a continues loop of fear, stress and dizziness.

I am walking daily 1.5 miles and doing so many things to integrate myself back travelling going to bar trivia this weekend a dance with loud music and strobe lights..I was also afraid to move but I am slowly fighting back...8 months with VN I think turned pppd.

I wish Drs would not prescribe Benzos. It makes pppd worse. Parker I relate, I just weaned off valium after long time and my healing process is a lot easier now. I did this by going on an snri which has helped with migraines, head pressure, panic attacks etc. I'm much happier off valium and now my vestibular system is not suppressed and has a good chance to work properly again. My heart goes out to you Parker, bless you and you are awesome. Well done Dr Yo

I tried the neck chiropractor. That night after treatment I had BPPV for the first time and had to go to urgent care who sent me to ER. That was four years ago. Already had Ménière’s for 29 years at that point. That is why I tried the chiro. Been worse ever since,😮 When I am just falling asleep, I sometimes get awakened by a dizzy sensation that feels like airplane turbulence. She is so lucky to have you. I wish I could heal. Been 33 years.
@TheSteadyCoach
@TheSteadyCoach Жыл бұрын
Kathy, it does not matter to me how long someone has had it. One of my clients has had it for 35 years. Your brain can always heal from neural circuit dizziness. If the Meniere's has caused ear damage, your brain will have to compensate for the damage, but it can do that.

Just watched your older video again from anxiety/ symptoms and why.. And realised now what my underlying fear and drive off all sensations are🥺 Actually my head is full because of a cold and it brought on extra sensations while looking up or bending over, and in a split second there it was: the thought of bppv is coming again. 2.5 years ago, when i had bppv the first time i was fine. But the 2th time it was a bit more heavy and i got a bit more scared. BUT than, after a visit to fysio who did not say dont go driving after epply manoeuvre...i went home in my car..and got a big attack when quickly looking left. I was in the middle of a crossroad and after this i got a huge panic attack. It happened twice. Cause did not know i was not allowed to drive. Finally when i knew this, the trauma was already there. I went for weeks not knowing when i would be hit with bppv again. I thought it could happen every minute of the day/ everywhere...And when i finally met a another fysio, and found out when bppv happens and when not...i guess it was too late... My brain/ body is super scared still. I am afraid to move really normal and i actually do get more dizzy when looking up and down etc...and in a lot of situations that my brain thinks i will have trouble. I am not sure how to go from here. I do understand that bppv is not here anymore...but my brain/ body acts like it is still there to attack me😳😳😳
@TheSteadyCoach
@TheSteadyCoach Жыл бұрын
If your brain and body are still responding this way, chances are that your brain and body was expecting danger long before the first BPPV attack occurred. Longstanding patterns of anxiety as well as stressful life events can cause your fear response to become much stronger and stay activated long after the stress has passed.

I have mixed fillings about this success story account. Firstly, Parker stated she was at about 50% dizzy as of the time of the interview compared to the peak of her sensations. From here the path may be much longer and more challenging. So how can it be called a success story? I’ve have had PPPD for over 5 years now, but the symptoms are much less pronounced than with the most extreme cases on “The Steady Coach” channel. I would think I am now where Parker is in terms of dizziness. I would not characterize it as a success story though based on how I feel. Secondly, if she could so successfully heal her shoulder using Dr. Sarno’s methods how come dizziness remained so stubborn? Dr. Yo posited in her other videos that in Dr Sarno’s techniques on treating chronic pain, they should also add dizziness as a condition that can be treated, because the same methods of brain rewiring apply to both. This baffles me as illogical.

This video could not have popped up on my KZbin at a better time.. I am 30 years old. Have struggled with PPPD ( undiagnosed until 2 months ago) I have started VRT for the last 2 ish months and I am fighting this fight every single day. I got married last year and my goal for this year is to finally go on my honeymoon and feeling comfortable enough to visit my brother ( who is actually moving to Tallahassee ( home for you !) in May. My goal is by the end of June to feel steady enough and comfortable enough to take a plane right down to FL. I have had many ups and downs.. but I am going to continue to fight this until I have my life back ❤ Thank you Dr Yonit for your KZbin channels.
