I don't get why they made this game. I don't think I would have reacted to it as strongly if it wasn't full of souls assets and was a completely new thing. One way or another, no PvP means it will be dead a month after launch after everyone gets bored.

It was something like “I’m so glad they’re finally listening to the community and giving us only co op!” It’s sad that so little people actually enjoy PvP in these games. It wouldn’t surprise me if we just stop getting it entirely with the next games after this.

Excited but also really disappointed. I need more info tbh but I’m not thrilled about the hero system, I would have wanted a proper rpg progression system. When it hits I won’t be able to suspend disbelief and it’s probs gonna feel like playing a weird ER mod.

Nightreign is an experiment, and in my opinion that's good news for PvP enjoyers. It means Fromsoft is willing to try new things for the near future, and this can also mean that they are working on some PvP-focused game as well. They have made dedicated PvP game in the form of one of the armored core games in the past, and it was really good competitively. I like to imagine they will do something like that again in the future

I am pretty excited for it but It sounds like it needs more challenge. I also wouldnt mind for there to be a couple expansions in the future if this is successful. They could have had invasions be a mechanic that aids an active party of three with passive buffs upon successful party wipes, that way your one benched friend can feel like they are helping out. Also might make invaders more appreciated idk just throwing shit at the wall since the game is already crazy as it is.

My favorite part of Souls games is just doing the routing / gathering to build a character. I'm not into roguelites at all, but I really like the idea of doing my favorite part of these games over and over again without all of the boring parts.

I personally hate the crafting in this game. I’d rather just be able to purchase everything I need. Crafting is so tedious. Especially when you work full time and have limited hours to play. I’d prefer to be spending my time just invading without having to micromanage stuff like that.

Here's my thoughts. Obviously this isn't going to be a game on the same level as pretty much anything we've seen before. However, as the trailer has shown, it is 100% going to be co-op based. The team working on this is probably figuring out how to make the co-op experience as smooth as possible as well as trying out a few other mechanics such as team up abilities, roaming bosses, or even the much better mobility overall. It's ambitious yet its not going to deliver even close to the level of elden ring... but, we are also given the opportunity to fight these old bosseswith the new mechanics. Storywise its non canon, but it being "nightreign" kinda suggests that maybe this is a reality where Ranni 's order comes to be. All in all I'm exctied and I know I'm going to enjoy it, but I don't think anyone should expect it to be the level of Elden ring in any way EXCEPT for combat and co-op.

Remnant 2 done the generated worlds very well I thought. I enjoyed that game I feel like it's going to a mix of Remnant 2 and Elden Ring, so I'm excited for it and I recently started co-oping mainly for 2v2 but it is fun going through the game with other players.

Lag isn't that much of a problem in PvE because the hit confimation is purely on your side I beleave.

i think the game will be good, but it would be a missed opportunity to not include PvP. 3v3 PvP would be huge for longevity. not only that but i think if it were a regular part of the gameplay loop players would have no excuse not to learn how it works. 3v3 would also be way healther than the gank oriented mash fest in Elden wRong. anyways im still excited, but i think PvP with decent net code would be huge even if the balance is trash.

6:25 I does suck there wont be PvP but maybe this means we'll get a dedicated PvP only spin off game. Something like WoW or Guild Wars 1 with arena and then battlegrounds/alliance battles/guild battles. Maybe even a moba without heroes spin off with a boss for an ancient and creeps to level up. My main hope would be they rework the netcode and test things for the next main line souls-like game whether thats Elden Ring 2 who knows.
