You can break the axe attack with minimal poise damage after the dash btw. The new wind great sword has a true combo on the follow-up and the edge of the start of the ash.

From Software really added all of the crouch pokes into the Great Katana moveset. I love it.

Yeah the developers have a lot of nerfing and buffing to do. These new weapons make things way out of balance especially against base game weapons. If you have skill it might not be that bad, but for new players or players who don't have access to the DLC it's going to be Hell going up against these new weapons and spells. They shouldn't have changed the tracking of dual wielded pole arms (just damage), and the spinning axes need a shorter distance of travel for starters.

The new fire knight helm, dropped by the fire knight, gives you extra health, stam and eq-load. That's a bit op op, exept that it poise and phy-def is kinda low. Check it out.

This DLC has some really anime-looking moves, even more anime than ER which has DS3 DLC anime-looking moves and OP weapons like the Spitleaf Greatsword and the Murky Hand Scythe, Ledo's Great Hammer and others. I hope they balance the AoW to be relatively weak at PVP in the future updates or all base game weapons will become obsolete for coop/PVP.

idk if I'm just bad but when I try invading with those reverse grip swords, not a single one of my light attacks stagger and everyone just out-trades or dodges the second hit after getting hit by the first. Either I'm bad or my invasions today been super laggy

They are not meant to trade. The mix up potential is insane, l1 has no recovery and the aow has generous I frame's and consistently catches panic rolls out of stun. Try dueling with them and learn the weapon a but better. They are Def overturned but Hella fun
