On a Sunday Cruse yeah! Sad , the younger generation will never see the beauty of Gary in the 50's, 60's, and early 70's before Richard Hatcher destroyed it.
@bobbybob3865

Mayor Hatcher may just have been there while Gary was going downhill. The decline of the steel industry in the area was probably the CAUSE of the deterioration of the Gary.

My Wife and I use to live in Miller in the early 70s, Just off of Lake St close to the rail road tracks. I don't remember the address, We was only a 7 minute drive to Miller beach., I remember we could see the sky line of Chicago from, Miller beach,, It look like U drove from Lake St to 15 Ave to clay St, I use to drive 15 Ave every day to work , to 1225 Martin Luther King Dr., A Brick Yard. It closed down now. It would be nice if U could drive to the old brick yard, From Lake St in Miller to 15 Ave. to 1225 Martin Luther King Dr. and take pictures of the brick yard . Thank you soooo much for good memories

In the summer our family would go to the beach just about every weekend because my dad loved the lake. On our way home we always stopped at Jack Spratts for ice cream. After I graduated I also lived in those apartments going north on Lake Street with a couple roommates in the 70's. What good memories of Miller.

Dude, we are clearly cut from the same cloth! Love the tunes! I was at Plant City Strawberry Festival last month, and I heard The Temps coming from a pavilion. I was drawn in and four guys from Atlanta "Kasual" were on stage. Great young men. I posted the last number that they performed. I was hit with a copyright infraction immediately, worth it! Keep up the great work Steel City Storm.
