I use to work at Dolls Kill. They marked up the prices so high. Like a pair of socks that would normally cost 6 $ they mark up to 20$. They get a lot of their products from Thailand and other Asian markets. Also they treat their workers like garbage. One time, they had us work a full day and after we were done with our normal 8 hours, the manager came out and said we had to stay longer or we were fired. No joke. The boss was huge coke addict. More often than not he would come into work with his eyes bloodshot red from his high. He never talked to any of us unless he was looking for a reason to fire you. I will say one thing positive of DK: after working at that store every other job I had has been a blessing compared to them.

I've purchased a faux fur sugar Thrillz coat and a current mood zip hoodie. The fur coat is well made and pretty nice, the zip hoodie was definitely overpriced and the quality was just okay. There was no inside lining and the fabric was white on the inside but coloured on the outside, which looks cheap. Also a lot of pilling... Also with lazy oaf you pay for the designs and branding more than the quality. I have three items, one is very well made (pvc lilac skirt) , one has some loose threads and the button holes are sloppily made (Esther bunnafore) and one hat the halters sewn on the wrong way (blue bunnarees)! So the adjustment clips are faced the wrong way and the clips to the buttons are faced the wrong way too :/ the button holes have the same issues as the bunnafore, and for a hundred dollars I expect obvious manufacturing errors not to happen. Plus lazy oaf isn't ethical... sadly there isn't a good second hand market in germany, especially for alternative fashion.

I have bought from them enough so they have more than enough of my money so I’m going to focus on getting stuff that looks genuinely good and better quality. I think a lot of girl especially plus sizes like myself may be wowed the first few times buying because we’re not used to seeing trendy instagram type styles in our size so we just settle expecting there’s not much else but you’d be surprised how many alternatives there are and that we should all go outside our comfort zones and give less problematic brands a chance.

I literally do not buy any new clothes whatsoever. I decided that about a year ago. I have a video on why I don't buy new clothes. I only get clothes from the thrift store, or otherwise second-hand, or make them myself with second hand fabric.

The only reason I’m getting demonias from them is because the demonias I want are only 100 CAD$ while others I can find are 300 CAD$ 😭😭

shit man I bought some sandals from there that were very similar except they were black and the strapping is slightly different and they broke the exact. same. way. Same time frame and all. I bought them on sale so at least there's that but yeah I don't buy their shoes unless they're coming from an outside brand.

hi! i know i'm a year late but i was wondering if you know any anything similar to sugarthrillz on dollskill because i've been saving up to buy something and i'm disappointed to hear about their lack of empathy towards such sensitive topics.

does anyone hav alternatives or other places to buy similar clothing cuz😿 other than thrifting...
@bee28744 жыл бұрын
honestly depop is one of the best places to get alt clothing, or diying stuff, it's a little more work but worth it, another option is getting more basic pieces (like I got a frilly blue babydoll dress from the clearance section of a boutique) and then pairing them with edgey-er accessories, like platforms and belts to make it more alt.
@atara5004 жыл бұрын
there are so many amazing alt clothing shops on instagram!! some of my favorites are shoptunnelvision, interrobangbangshop, igirl, bustedbrand, misscandyholic, and so so many more. you should definitely check them out!

This is made me really sad and maybe someone can help me. I have been searching for a pair of baby pink boots for a really long time. I finally found my dream pair on dolls kill. They are quite expensive but I’ve paid more money for shoes in the past and I have searched the Internet everywhere and I cannot find another pair of boots like it or even similar. Mainstream societies fashion is so boring and all the boots are either black tan grey or white baby pink just does not exist. But after reading lots of the comments and watching this video I’m starting to think maybe I shouldn’t buy them. I’m also really concerned as I am from the United Kingdom that the shoe size will be wrong. They do list on the website that if you change it to UK then it’s UK shoe sizes but someone on trust pilot said they done that and it was still US shoe sizes. I don’t want to spend £93 on a pair of boots I will have to return. Especially if they are returning to America I’m probably going to have to pay for delivery and custom fees and that’s just not worth the hassle. Can anyone tell me where I can find a pair of baby pink lace up thigh high boots that can be purchased in the United Kingdom and are under £100 that would be great if not the dream of having pink boots is going to die

Yeah, I bought some black comet crash platform boots (which were DollsKill own brand), and they costed £59 (including shipping) but then I got charged another £12 for customs. They arrived eventually, but within 3 weeks, the sole seperated from the shoe REALLY badly, a week later (after fixing the shoe at a cobblers) the other sole breaks.

I had to buy a pair of Delia's boots from their website recently but only after spending 3+ hours online looking for someone who was selling them elsewhere (depop, etsy, ebay, poshmark, amazon, I checked everywhere!!) when I realized that my dream boots were only available on the dollskill website itself, I felt awful but I didn't have any other choice. i stand firmly against the company and it saddens me that i couldn't find the same boots anywhere else :/

I’d also like to note that you mentioned unif being a good brand however they have recently begun outsourcing to Asian markets/ factories as well as consistently stealing art and designs from old vintage and new handmade vintage items.

There’s so many influencers I used to look up too, but they’d model for dolls kill and constantly be sponsored by them. None of them have stopped supporting them despite the extremely problematic behavior. I’ve had the best experience with the other individual brands dolls skill has carried!! It’s always cheaper to just get the items from its source.

I ordered these boots from dolls kill that had the two ends of an industrial staple poking straight out on the inside sole of the shoe. Luckily I didn’t try the left boot on (it would have pierced right through my foot.) It did scrape my hand when I stuck my hand in to grab the paper which hurt. I shipped them back and they wouldn’t refund me the shipping cost even though I wrote a nice note with the boots explaining what happened. Mistakes happens but they handled the situation very poorly. Worst customer service ever. I’m from Canada so shipping and import fees are huge. “Sorry bb, you almost pierced a staple through your foot but we won’t be refunding you the return shipping cost.”

Angel Face omg I hope I wouldn’t be experiencing something similar to yours, I’ve just made an order from them just yesterday
@CaveWomen884 жыл бұрын
Mandy0monday Some of their stuff is decent quality but I bought these tiger print combat boots and the first time I wore them the tiger print cracked all over and started peeling off. I legit only wore them once and threw them out because they looked like trash after. I’m over dollskill. I buy 90% of my clothes on poshmark and Depop now. I hope your order goes okay though! 💞

I’m here because I just received an order from them after stopping buying from them years ago. I wanted to give them another try. Apparently I live under a rock because I didn’t know they were as shady as they are. After I placed my order, I got an email saying one of my items had been cancelled because they made an inventory mistake... they only issued me a partial refund. 😒 Then when I GOT my order, I opened the skirt I was so excited to receive, and all of the buttons were falling off. The skirt was $50. What the heck?! I will never ever shop from them again. I’m debating even returning the skirt. I might just fix it myself and keep it... because when you return things they’ll only issue a store credit. And I don’t want anything else from their crappy store. 😒

@avabedaque39844 жыл бұрын
A lot of their better brands can be bought from directly and also carry plus sizes. I dont know much about club wear / lolita fashion, but the sites Angry Young and Poor & Trash and Vaudeville have great goth/punk clothing in plus sizes
