@S H R E Y A I know how you feel about the judgement. This year I haven't been myself in all situations because people judged me and never let me finish what I had to say and some of my friends were like "you should have your own personality and talk more" and that was the point when I stood up for myself. Betty Brosmer was always one of my favorites. Her and Bettie Page are the epitome of classic American “cheesecake” pin-ups. I don’t know why it is, but women in the 40’s and 50’s were just SO much more beautiful than women of other eras, both in face and figure. Even the men were more rugged and handsome. I mean, just look at the stars that era produced. Gregory Peck, Humphrey Bogart, James Dean, Gene Kelly, Clark Gable, Cary Grant, Tyrone Power, John Wayne, Marlon Brando, Rock Hudson, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Ava Gardner, Jane Russell, Yvonne De Carlo, Lana Turner, Betty Grable, Veronica Lake, Rita Hayworth, Marilyn Monroe, Jayne Mansfield, Mamie Van Doren, Diana Dors, Cleo Moore, Sheree North, Joi Lansing, Grace Kelly, Kim Novak, Bettie Page, Betty Brosmer, Brigitte Bardot, Anita Eckberg, Sophia Loren, Elizabeth Taylor, Dorothy Dandridge, Candy Barr, Blaze Starr, Tempest Storm, Lili St. Cyr ect. As they say, they sure don’t make them like this anymore!

So from there comes the idea of hour glass figure and body shaming of all the girls who don't have one....

"Body shaming" existed long before Betty Brosmer. Probably began with the first cave people: "That gIrl OONA from the next cave is so UGLY-she has hardly any body hair-YUCK!"

Nah, the hourglass shape was heavily popular WAYYYY before Betty's time. Why do you think corsets existed in the Victorian era?

It's actually a scientifically proven preference. Childbearing hips lol

F Fa That doesn’t even explain the waist, imagine not even having room for your organs and then being pregnant that even pushes your organs HIGHER.

Interesting, I've always known who Betty Wieder was from my bodybuilding years, but never knew about her early years. She's actually a very nice person, did a lot for women's fitness, though she had an unusual form naturally, very rare.
