chooseymomschoose No, the point is that these “sport” SUVs pretend to be sports cars, but ultimately don’t quite land there with their extremely high curb weights and centers of gravity. You know what makes sense? A BMW X5 M, which performs identically to the X6 M, but doesn’t pretend to be a sports car by sacrificing interior space. In any case, neither the X4 M or X6 M handle anywhere near like an M3. You’re getting excellent performance... for a heavy SUV. It’s not an M3 competitor, and it never will be just by the laws of physics. In the same vein, a Porsche Macan/Cayenne are not (and never were) intended to replace or be substitutes for Porsche’s actual sports coupes. They are sporty SUVs, not replacements for actual sports cars with lower centers of gravity. To argue that this heavy SUV compares to an M3 at all is laughable. They definitely do not.

No they didn’t. The car goes from 0-60 in 5 seconds, and is very agile. Comparing it to a Porsche Cayenne is a bad comparison because the design philosophy and driving experience that BMW and Porsche seek to give are very different. Porsche want you to feel like you’re driving a race car. BMW want to give you a spirited experience with a nimble car, but one where the car won’t get away from an inexpert driver. The reviewer simply wants a very particular sports car experience, and the X6 wasn’t designed for that...and the person driving it isn’t asking that from it.

I honestly believe the last X6 looks amazing compared to this one. And the X5 looks waaaayyyyy better than the X6 of this generation. The back design of this 2020 X6 just kills the whole car for me. The wheels are cool and the front is cool as well. But those super thin LED’s in the back just look awful with the fake exhausts. I know it’s only the m50i but darn. They need to go back to the design board for this one :(

BMW X6: For the person who wants a car with a German badge. They wanted a 4 door sports car, yet also wanted a Crossover/SUV; so they chose both in one with the rear headroom of a coupe and less practicality for the groceries and stuff that they’ll never haul in the back. I don’t get these suv “coupe” things; either get an suv, a 4 door, a coupe or a wagon/estate/SB. Trying to fit 3 or all 4 together just doesn’t really work but hey, people fawn over these for some good reason. Probably the same people who thought the Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet was a good thing.

I love the X6. I drove a 2013 550GT for a few years, and that was heavy and wasn't M-sport, so it only had 400 horses. Same 4.4 liter engine just not souped up. So fun to drive. The practicality was off the charts. Took two kids to college in that car. Very polarizing looks, but like some people don't want minivans, many people don't want SUVs proper.

Like the video I guess I disagree in large part with you guys I like the look way more than the bird's beak porche or the gle coupe. Definitely looks better than the soccer mom car X5 that one of you guys mentioned you like. I do like the Audi SQ8 however. Id take the X6 m50i especially since its like 40,000$ less than the porche with a much nicer infotainment system in my opinion and just as fun if not a more exciting drive (and faster than the gle)

I own the previous gen X6, and I don't get why coupe SUVs get so much hate. Coupe for me, SUV for the the wife, and great in the winter. Perfect compromise especially as I live in the city and only have one parking spot.

Car manufacturers are ripping us off, unless you plan to off-road or live on a mountain or something you should get an estate car, more value for the money, as practical, more performance due to not being an SUV and in my opinion better looks. For comparison, you can get a bmw 540i estate with a twin turbo v6, it's much cheaper than this and better in every way appart from off road. Think about this before buying a 100 000 car

I'm always surprised how cheap cars over there in Canada and the US are. In Europe this costs 40-50% more.(100k us before options). Literally the base 40i costs as much as the M50i there with options.

That blurry image looks like the Camry TRD or Avalon TRD. And I think coupe SUVs are terrible. They're more expensive, have less utility, and carry the name of coupe strictly based on a slanted roof design that arguably does nothing for the looks across the brand all compared to their non-coupe stable mates. I detest the idea as a whole and wish it would be abandoned altogether, but enough people are buying them to render my opinion useless so it's clear I know nothing, lol.
