Feel you bro. After 6 years our relationship ended. It was shock for me. first two months for me was mix of sadness anger and madness. I thought about her every day...at night she was in my dreams. Its half year since we broke up. now all i feel is loneliness and i miss her a bit. I finally understood that our relationship was over. I accepted it but it was very very hard (harder than you think bro). now it's getting better day by day. The only thing I'm afraid of is that this was my only chance in my life for such beautiful feelings and love. I'm so afraid of loneliness. she was my soul mate and best friend through thick and thin. Thank you. ...I feel little tear under eye while writing this comment 🙁 I wish everyone who reads this all the best. I hope you doing good brothers. keep your head up and take small steps forward because time is your best friend now 👊🏼

Going to state the obvious- i shouldn’t really have to, but here goes. A dog is a canine and we’re humans- there should be no attraction there and therefore it cant be compared. Unless you’re a furry in which case visit your head doctor. I appreciate a dog helping you through the pain of a split up with someone you’ve been so emotionally attached to. There is no feeling like true love but if it ends it always amazes me how that powerful love can turn to hate. We are funny creatures.

@mickbray8372 Жыл бұрын
Ive just listened to this song 6 times on repeat, today's the first time ive heard it. I was a child of the stolen generations in Australia. My adopted father was a good man but I hardly know him as he was rarely home due to his job. My adopted mother was a monster and her indifference to me as an infant solidified into pure hatred before I was a teen. Despite this I was born with an overwhelming sense of empathy for all living beings but as I tried to navigate through an increasingly cold and cruel world i steadily became more jaded, less caring and more judgemental. There has been some great times in my life, I've traveled all over this beautiful planet and experienced things many people only dream of but I still haven't been able to form any long term, meaningful relationships. Ive driven away every girl ive loved and nearly all of the people i called friends. 8 yrs ago I started doing some volunteer work with dogs at a shelter in Sydney and it was a revelation, the single most rewarding experience in my life and it continues to be just amazing. I lead a fairly solitary life now, i live alone and probably will until I die (im 52 now) but I find solace in knowledge that I have helped rehome, rehabilitate, comfort and befriend hundreds of abused, neglected and unwanted dogs. After seeing this music video, a man falling to pieces yet his dog is by his side in every shot, well, i just , um, just started writing. Thanks for reading my story, and please everyone, try to find that empathy, for loved ones and strangers alike. Be kind to one another and please please please be kind to your pets, they are truly innocent and perhaps the greatest source of unconditional love you may ever know. Peace

This is so accurate because when relationships end its not like in a movie; you don't reflect on the relationship by starring off a cliff at the ocean or whilst standing atop a skyscraper overlooking a metropolitan skyline. You reflect on the relationship and the sorrow when doing the most mundane things - sat in a laundrette, sat in a takeaway, sat at a bus stop, buying milk from the local shop etc
@katejean78994 ай бұрын
Agree....!!! For me it's also silence. Too much hurt I always need some sound and colour around me because if I don't deal with the hurt and trauma etc in note size pieces it's too overwhelming.....manageable chunks at a time interspersed with laughter....even if it is at yourself xx

I love this video. It really evokes that feeling of isolation when you're walking around in the middle of the night, awake when you should be sleeping and alone with your thoughts when you need someone the most. It fits the song to a tee.

This song has definitely lasted the test of time. I think it's because we've all been the person in the song who feels like the world is crashing down around them. His vocals portray the feeling perfectly of trying so hard to keep something together when the ending is inevitable.

This song reminded me my cat Buddy that sadly passed away from old age a few years before this it was made. Very blessed song thanks.

This video is important because, as a man, if your life falls apart and it all goes wrong, your dog will always love you and be by your side.

The streets first album was one of those moments where you can't believe what you just heard and have to play again immediately. Classic that should be in everyone's CD collection if your of a certain age

Fell down to remember a recent broken relationship I wanted to save so desperately. This song is a life saver in the sea of loneliness. Dry your eyes, mates. Good times are waiting ahead of us.

Was crying to this in 2009. Mike said there's plenty more fish in the sea. He was right. Thanks for those tears anyway, they were some important ones

2020 and I randomly remembered these guys. The Streets are underrated because they don't fit a genre. BRILLIANT! Just, if you even dig it you still gotta be in the mood for it.

I don’t like the emotional posts on KZbin about losing a girlfriend or other stuff but this past month I lost a child and my fiancé and it’s the hardest thing I’ve endured. I’m still healing but I’m sure things will get better and for anyone else going through anything similar I hope the best for you as well. This song is relatable to almost every word and it hits deep.
