A thing to mention that makes "The death of God's Will" hit harder, you walk in, Gabriel tells you that Hell is going through the ringer and it's all your fault, and he's pissed, he then begins playing an organ for a moment with Gabriel just saying how he's going to gut V1 and he then goes and the opening of this song drops as he basically yells, "I WILL END YOU, HEAR AND NOW!!!" and as that comes out the drop hits. It also adds to the song as you hear his, almost rabid talking of him berrating you over and over again with him saying things like, "You NEED more Power!" Or "Worthless scrap!" and the ending with him being hit with the reality of "Twice, beaten by a machine, TWICE!" and he sees he's bleeding as the music slows down. Trust me there's a different version that includes the Voice lines, I'd definitely recommend listening to it too cause it hits harder.

hey leon, fun fact, hakita made the death of gods will for the final boss of ultrakill's second act (archangel gabriel) however, he stated that before he published the act 2 update, he forgot to make a song for gabriel, he later stated in an interview that he made this song in under A DAY! and he put the song in the game with 6 hours remaining for said uppdate, according to him, later he vomited from stress. this guy is INSANE! one more thing. from the bottom of my heart, you are m favorite music related content creator, so thanks for reacting to my favorite song! stay aweosme lionmight!

It goes hard af, doesn't it? ULTRAKILL has one of the best soundtracks for a game I've ever heard. It's like it's specially crafted for the game and the events within. Which... yes, that's the case for most soundtracks, but I mean to a greater degree than what most other games have. I guess that makes sense, though. Like you said, the music artist is also the primary developer. Like, not just the director, Hakita also does most of the work, to my understanding. Edit: I should probably also point out that Divine Intervention came *before* Death of God's Will, though you probably figured that out already. Both are fights against Gabriel at the end of each of the two completed Acts.

The thing about Ultrakill music and that flamenco you heard earlier, is that the stage soundtrack is split into two: the "calm" half and the "combat" half. The mix you listened to mainly consists of the "combat" half, which is intentionally made to sound same-y, as to not let the foot off the gas pedal. It is often the case that "calm" and "combat" halves invoke completely different feelings, like with the flamenco part.

You should listen to rhythm heaven songs. As the title suggests, it's a rhythm game so it's got a ton of great songs, but if I had to only pick 1 from each game (there are 4 entries in the franchise) they would be: - WISH, Kimi o matenakute (aka remix 5 GBA) - remix 8 (Ds) - lonely storm - machine remix (this one has a version with japanese lyrics and a version where the lyrics are replaced with instruments) Also, an important thing to note for rhythm heaven songs, almost all of them (probably every song that anyone would suggest you to react to tbh) have in game sound effects that go alongside them, and while they are great I feel like they take away from the real song. - you can either listen to the ones with sound effects for an accurate game experience - or listen to the music alone to analyze it better.

Fun fact: Death of gods will is actually a REMATCH for someone and v1. For some oversimplifyed lore, V1 (the robot) is fighting agianst an angel called Gabriel in divine intervention. In death of gods will, he is back and is not happy.

A fact about death odyssey, the composer originally wanted to take classical music and remix them into a new song, but it was too experimental so newblood (the publisher) didnt like the idea and he made death odyssey instead

ULTRAKILL Lore! (spoilers!!) So Divine Intervention and The Death Of God's Will are actually related, because they're two different themes of the boss. The boss being heaven's greatest warrior, Gabriel. Gabriel was the most popular and trusted warrior in heaven because of his successful mission down in Hell, defeating the likes of King Minos and King Sisyphus. And due to the popularity of Gabriel up in Heaven, he got kind of arrogant and cocky due to it. Within Act 1, we end up meeting Gabriel and learn his motives for hunting down V1. The machines started invading hell, he sought to drive them out. When fighting Gabriel, the theme of "Divine Intervention" could be heard, sounding holy and arrogant due to the current status of Gabriel. He even mocks you while you fight him. Just after his defeat to V1, he proclaims that he will return and promptly leaves. In the epilogue of Act 1, we learn that this one loss he faced to a machine was enough to have his loyalty questioned, and he is unable to properly explain himself to the heavenly Council. They declared him a heretic. They give him 24 hours to kill V1 and unmake his mistakes, telling him that, should he fail, the Father's light will be stripped from him, and with it his life will too. Act 2 shows Gabriel's quest to regain the holy light, full with hatred for V1 due to its embarassing defeat. When Gabriel finishes his rage-filled monologue, the theme of "The Death Of God's Will" could be heard, sounding angry and serious fitting the boss fight that happens. But as usual is defeated by V1. However, something in Gabriel changed after this loss and he came to the conclusion that the loss was meant to happen and had started to realize the faults in the holy council and weakly commended V1 for the reality check. In the epilogue of act 2, Gabriel ends up going to the moon, which is presumably the first layer of heaven, in order to think more about his epiphany. He ends up deducing that the slaughtering he'd engaged in was meant to maintain control and was meaningless to god, that God is no longer present, and that the Council is still trying to act in its name. He decides that he couldn't possibly convince the masses of heaven about this with words, and chooses to do something much more attention-grabbing. He goes to Heaven and kills the Council, before showing one of their severed heads off to the angels in heaven, who are, by this point, gathered around the Council's auditorium. He acknowledges that he will also die because the light has been severed from his body, but he ends up deciding to spend his last few hours in Hell.
