could you run us through how you chose schools to apply to? it's so hard to make a good list that isn't too long (way too expensive) or too short (too risky)- what do you think is a good number and range in terms of schools that you think have avg stats similar to yours and schools that are reaches? thanks!

Excellent video as usual! One piece of advice for med students, check with your school regarding their policy on electronic stethoscopes. Had a few classmates not able to use them for their practicals.

Can you do a video on recommendations for the summer between M1 and M2? What do most students do during that summer? research, volunteering, work, vacay?

This isn't really specific to this video, but do med schools give you a list of books to buy for class/boards like in college? Or is it more on your own find a books/recommendations you heard from others?
@jagodzira7 жыл бұрын
That depends on a school, but most of the subjects have recommended books to buy and study from, but you can use whatever source you want. They also usually prefer students to study from a couple of different sources, as information may differ and, in the job, you need to know everything anyways ;)

I really like the watch you have there! I had a fitbit for a while but didn't like it because it wasn't very aesthetically pleasing, but I think the fact that the Withings Active Watch looks like a real watch is very nice and functional too :) Good luck in your psych rotation!

Always brightens up my day when I see you've uploaded a video! 😁 Hope you're enjoying 3rd year! I'm half way through the summer between 1st and 2nd year med (a 4 month summer!!) and currently at the stage of nearly pulling my hair out ready to get back to class, haha. Over my exams though, I have put on what I like to call the med school 15 - and have struggled all summer so far to get it off. I noticed that health and fitness is something your really interested in, and I was wondering what keeps you motivated to stay fit and healthy in med school and how you do it? Sara xx

I prioritize health/fitness as much as I can. For example, I know that if I go home after my shift at the hospital there is no way I'm leaving home again to go the gym- so I usually go right before or right after my shift! It did take a bit of "motivating myself" in the beginning but now I just enjoy going to the gym so it's something I do for myself

Hi! Do you know about the KZbin channel JaneandJady? They are also fellow 3rd year medical students who make very similar content as you! Also, Jane is Korean too. Lol. Anyway, just thought I'd ask. It would be cool if you guys ever met up and collaborated, but I'm guessing that's a bit of a stretch... Anyway, another great video!

In a previous video you talked about study habits and that you usually listen to music without lyrics. Would you mind posting some of your favorite bands? I just started listening to non-lyrical and it really helps me focus. Thank you :D I love your videos!
