"Diamonds, Diamonds" and "On The Road" have always been my fave Max tunes. Remember hearing them when they came out. Always thought they were these gems tucked away that only I heard so I went on a crusade, promoting them to my friends. Of course any Max fan could tell you how good those songs are. Those songs are there for everyone - I just wish everyone listened to them !

Kim is way too humble. This guy is one of the greatest guitar players in not just Canada but in the world. He's like a jazz guy on steroids who plays rock.

Kim Rocks! Humblest of them all! He inspired me to play guitar in 1988. It's been my Rock and Roll Duty ever since! Thanks for this interview. 18:17 Kim Mitchell disagrees with Steve Vai !! Hahah! Vai is such an Ego Maniac!! Cheers and Rawk on !

Oh man, that is so good to hear! I thought it was just me. I totally hear ya on that "I don't know anything" feeling. I've played in my share of cover bands, but I hated most of them, and I almost never learn anything that I'm not getting paid to play. I'm interested in my own music . . . and if I do a cover, you can bet, I'm gonna pretty much re-write the song. Sorry, didn't mean to make this about me. I love Kim Mitchell!

I worked at a restaurant in The Eaton Centre from 1984-1989, it was called The Mug, and later the name changed to JJ Muggs, had the pleasure of serving Kim there, just unbelievable how modest and kind he was. I believe he came in one time with an infant/toddler in a baby carriage. It’s been a long time but I think it was a girl in that carriage, not sure?? Does anyone know if he had a daughter around that time? Might have been a boy though, I’m terrible with babies gender, lol.

i like when Kim does not agree to Vai on Hendrix. Funny how Vai never really played on fm radio....he is good at what he does, but that rythm section sucks big time. Max Webster is such a unique band to me, cause Kim plays his ass off every songs, and has a unique sound and sense of harmony structure.
