I’m raised Catholic and studied the Bible and found out that the people of the tribes of Israel were Ethiopians. The Ethiopian Royal families bloodline traces back to king David and Solomon from the tribe of Judah. The same tribe and bloodline as Maria and Jesus. Search for yourself and you found out that everything is connected with Ethiopia. From Israel, and ancient Kemet were all connected with Ethiopia. When saying 'Converted to Christianity', it's also important to mention from what religion. Hebrew was the official religion in Ethiopia before Christianity and once the King converted to Christianity there was a bitter war between those who converted along with King Ezana and those who refused to convert. Amazing you missed three important parts of Ethiopian history. 1) The pre Axumite civilization of De'Amat. 2) The historic cities of Gondar, the Christian kingdom, in the north & Harar, capital of the Islamic sultanate. 3) Last but not least, the history of Emperor Menelik and the battle of Adwa, the victory of an African kingdom against colonialism. Let's hope you'd do better in your next presentation.

Dear Study of Antiques and the Middle Ages, while your wish for peace is heartfelt, let's remember that Tigrayans are an integral part of the broader Ethiopian community. Extending our wishes for peace to all Ethiopians, including the people of Tigray, reinforces unity and solidarity. Let's hope for lasting peace and harmony for the entire Ethiopian nation❤

You forgot about the war, fought (successfully, with French aid) against the Italians, in Somaliland, in the 1890s. Also, I once read in a book on aviation, that the very first aerial bombing occurred in the Ethiopian civil war, prior to WWI

How is it that you did not mentioned about the battle of Adwa fought against Italy in 1889, with the defeat of Italy by Emperor Minilik II, not only that The Italians came with revenge the second time In 1939 while Atse Haile Selassie was in power and Ethiopia was the founding member of, the then League of Nations and the Emperor made a prophetic speech… “ Today us tomorrow you”, because the western powers refuse to help Ethiopia….. (The League of Nations : it’s members made a Covenant “collective security” included preventing wars through collective security and disarmament and settling international disputes through negotiation and arbitration.) In fact Britain and France in a back door agreement gave a blessing to Italy to wage war against Ethiopia and use poisonous gas and killed innocent farmers. Well sure enough the second WWORLD started in 1941 and devastated Europe. After 5 years of fighting in the end the Italian army was defeated. These victories were very important as the African Union was birthed and afterwards the African nations demanded independence from the colonial powers and most adapted the Ethiopian flag with minor changes. This part was a very decisive moments not only in Ethiopian History but the whole of Africa. You must include it. There is an African Proverb: “Until the lion learns how to write, every story will glorify the hunter.”

"Ethiopia" is not a "Greek" name. This is revisionism by modern Europeans. The earliest manuscript mentioning the word "Ethiopia" i.e the Ezana stones is written in θreɪʃənz/: Θρᾷκες script. translate as Thracian script not Greek.

@@ephemeraljaunt There is no mention of >> Greeks in any of the archeological records mentioned here. The people which Ezana had contact with were not called " Greeks ". 2:59 3:01 The Battle of Wayna Daga was a large-scale battle between the Ethiopian forces and the Portuguese Empire and the forces of the Adal Sultanate and the Ottoman Empire in the east of Lake Tana in Ethiopia on 21 February 1543. The available sources give different dates for the battle.[3] Led by the Emperor Galawdewos, the combined army of Ethiopian and Portuguese troops defeated the Adal-Ottoman army led by Imam Ahmad ibn Ibrahim al-Ghazi. Imam Ahmad was killed in the battle and his followers were utterly routed.[4][5]
