It's such a shame that she didn't have immense power from the get go. That she had to literally learn everything from failure and from the guidance of multiple jedi masters. The thing is, I think that if Ahsoka worked with Maul, it wouldn't be in a master-apprentice relationship, but more a temporary alliance. If Maul had said that Sidious was Palpatine before he said anything about Anakin, I think Ahsoka could have relayed that to the council before Anakin informed them and Episode 3 would've potentially ended very differently as Yoda and Mace would likely have been on Coruscant to arrest Palpatine.

I feel like if Ahsoka were to "join" Maul she might learn dark techniques but would never fully embrace the darkside. Think of Dooku in how he was trained by the jedi and never FULLY embraced the darkside but would still use techniques like force lightning.

That's what irritates me about stuff like this in clone wars. There are tidbits here and there that would normally lead the Jedi to suspect somethings. Like Fives' investigation in inhibitor chips, the Executive Orders (that they had access to review), Palpatine's extended term, Maul & Dooku's leaks on Sidious. If the events of the movies weren't set in stone, it would've ended differently

Vader is not the typical sith he is far beyond any sith or Jedi by ROTS besides maybe 3 even Palpatine admitted his skills are beyond any sith Lord before him and Palpatine had knowledge on Revan and multiple other sith

I think that even if they did work together Ahsoka would not embrace the dark side. She would work with him out of necessity and possibly learn some dark side force abilities, but would remain grey and would have ground rules with Maul. I don't think she would help lead a criminal enterprise either, and change plans to align with her morals or not align herself with Maul at all.

I feel like more credit has to be given to Maul as duelist. He held his own in his duel against Sidious after Savage died longer than three Jedi knights did when they went with Mace Windu to arrest Sidious. Sure Sidious was toying with Maul and Savage, but one Maul was alone, angry to seek his vengeance, he actually stood pretty solid for a fair amount of time until he lowered his guard against one of the best duelist of the galaxy. And this is after all those years of being insane and not to practicing lightsaber combat during any of that time. I'm not saying he could beat Sidious alone, but with Ahsoka, I do believe they would pose as a substantial threat to Sidious that he would have to take seriously, especially after Maul has experience from his first duel with Sidious. Not to mention Maul's fatal flaw his, overconfidence, would be out of the picture because there would be no way Maul could be overconfident. Sidious was the only person Maul feared. Although it would be a good fight that I'd love to see Maul and Ashoka vs Sidious, I do see Sidious besting his opponents. PS: I think Maul is more powerful than Ashoka but the reason she bested Maul was because he was never really trying to kill her unless forced to and his overconfidence again got the best of him.

Even if Maul was a better duelist, Sideous was so strong with the force I'm sure Maul/Ahsoka would still lose. When Sideous traveled to Mandalore to confront Maul and Savage, he lifts them both with the force and slams them into the windows like its nothing.

Taking into consideration what Maul did throughout Clone Wars and especially in the last few episodes I believe without a doubt he's comparable to Vader in force and dueling abilities. People overestimate Vader due to his feats in Legends but in canon he really hasn't done anything puts him over Maul.

I think people also overestimate Sidious here, because, like said in the video, he didn't do much fighting if any after the events of Episode 3, and iirc it's because Windu DID actually seriously fuck up Palpatine's mobility in the fight. I always understood the dynamic to be "Palpatine is a master of manipulation/using the force to read and anticipate people" and less so "Palpatine post-3 is a master duelist"

I think Maul was lying about the offer. He knows that even together, him and Ahsoka can't beat Sidious. I think he was trying to trick her into embracing the Dark Side so that he could mold her into his new Apprentice and put her into an enforcer/assassin role. She'd be Ventress to his Dooku.

If Ahsoka teamed up with maul, I don’t think she’d give in to the dark side, she’d stick to her morals, maybe use the power of the dark side, but not become a sith, similar to how Anakin force chokes multiple people in the CW when he gets super pissed, while still being a Jedi at the time. I think they’d be a formidable duo, but likely wouldn’t stand a chance against palpatine, maybe they’d kill Vader, but as you said, killing palpatine is a different story, but picture this, after Maul and Ahsoka complete their training, they find Kenobi and Luke, they all team up together and absolutely decimate the empire, and maybe Ahsoka’s young innocent perspective rubs off on maul over the years, so he and kenobi finally bury the hatchet and let absurdly large bygones be bygones (you cut me in half, I killed your girlfriend, even right?) and they all live HAPPILY EVER AFTER AND THE SEQUELS NEVER HAPPEN!!!

She might have been able to turn maul to at least a little bit more gray. Thou they would not have been able to stop anakins fall (they ran out of time before the duel even happened) they would have been a thorn in palpatins side by exposing him much earlier (not like it would matter much in the long run) and had the pike or other shadow collective factions cause problems for the empire much earlier in the imperials founding. which in the end would have help the rebellion and defently saw gerrara a lot during its inception. But they also would not have been partners that long and separated after a few years maul staying in the shadows and Ashoka becoming valkon. A change for the better yes but a major change to the outcome no. well except mauls death she might have got him to see reason and stop chasing obi wan, which mean maul wouldn’t die 17 years after the battle of mandalor and might still be kicking during the ray saga.

Ahsoka's greatest trait is her good heart! Therefore, although she might've made a temporary alliance with Maul (as others here have said), I believe she'd NEVER go down the path of the dark side! Remember, we've seen Ahsoka's journey (The Clone Wars), from teenage padawan, to a young woman, and the stand-out thing about her is the decency and integrity she has! I'm also very pleased that Rosario Dawson will play her, in multiple series, it seems. Rosario's AWESOME, and by taking on such a HUGELY popular character, she'll likely become an acting legend!

Maxwell Gaynor maul has fought Sidious on quite equal ground and duelled mace windu and aayla simultaneously while basically throwing obiwan around each time they have an encounter don’t forget anakin wrecks dooku yet that was a 1 on 2 at first and obiwan has 2 lightsabers. Also Ahsoka was able to get strikes on vader and embarrass the inquisitors with their combined strength and training they would be able to defeat him, he died to obiwan in seconds due to maul miscalculation and underestimating kenobi, with vader he wouldn’t he would go all out and old kenobi was definitely a tough opponent since even vader was worried that kenobi would be able to beat him again and who really knows since he basically sacrificed himself in the end

Sidious has proven himself to be a great duelist against multiple opponents, the primary example being his duel with Maul and Savage Oppress. He won that duel so easily that I'm not even sure Maul and Dooku, at the height of their powers, could take him down in combat.

I actually think it is really sad that Maul never got a companion again after Savage. He was betrayed by his master, and after losing his brother, all he ever searched for was someone to fill that void. Honestly, I was almost entirely hoping Ashoka would join him. That he would show her some force vision or something and she’s switch sides. I know it wouldn’t have worked canonically, but I was interested to see what would ensue

I think Ahsoka would never fall to the dark side and become part of Crimson Dawn, and with Ahsoka by his side Maul would not be completely dark or evil either. Ahsoka would want some sort of compromise to happen where Maul doesn't do such terrible things as a tradeoff for her working with him towards their goal. They would actually eventually balance each other out in the end. Maul would teach Ahsoka dark side techniques and to not ignore or repress her emotions, and she would teach him the benefits of the light side on the mind and body. See one of Maul's flaws is he definitely seeks to use people whenever necessary, but he also ends up getting majorly attached to some of them during that process. He was devastated by the death of his brother and held his hand as he died, he had to be physically dragged away from his dying mother by his Mandalorians in Son of Dathomir, and in Rebels he eventually comes to Ezra and begs for them to go away together "as friends, as brothers" So Maul would get major feels and compromise on his darkside values even just to placate her and keep her around

The reason she was betrayed by Dooku was because Palpatine felt she was growing too powerful. So imagine Maul, Ahsoka and Ventress against the emperor. I believe in this case, they would be able to beat him. However afterwards, with the great threat gone, an epic 3 way fight would break out

@tomás My comment was sarcastic. The reverse grip just shows, that SW is not very realistic in regards to lightsaber fighting technics. Reversegrip gives less range of motion, less speed and less force. I just wanted to point out, that despite all these flaws in her technic, Ahsoka still proved to be very strong.

@tomás Exactly what i mean. She overcomes flaws of her technic with superior jedi abilities speed, dexterity, etc.. Non then less a reverse grip is a very very big handicap in RL. A handicap that Ahsoka can overcome. You can see it in another way too. If a reverse grip would be beneficial in combat, we would see more jedi or actual ppl in RL using it quite freguently. The truth is, it looks fancy and the ppl behind SW just came up with some explanation that is not bulletproof.

Defiantly the power difference is why he sought further power to close the obvious gap, he is only ever fatally overconfident right at the finish line, the rest of the time he is actually quite cunning and careful...It may still be in Sidious's favor in a 2 on 1 but that would depend on whatever game-changing power the two are able to obtain. Malacore would be different since by having someone with him Maul would be able to enter the temple once they figured it out. The rewrite of her duel with Vader would be interesting in itself since the ordeal would "potentially" push her further into the dark side having to face and kill her former master and best friend if not brother.

To think that if maul had told ashoka who Sidious really was the Sith wouldn’t have won. Also I don’t really know who is better with a lightsaber between maul and ashoka, we saw that maul beat her in a lightsaber duel, but let his overconfidence get the better of him and basically allowed ashoka to force push him of that metal thing. By the time of rebels both definitely seem to have improved, however ashoka does decent against Vader, and maul never fights him canonically. Seeing how maul stacks up against Vader would definitely be nice.

I don’t think the goal of Maul was to turn Ashoka. And that the only goal he had with Ashoka was to by any means necessary, eliminate Vader. And if Ashoka has gone with him, they would’ve found Anakin first, have Ashoka talk Anakin through what’s troubling his. Since Ashoka and Anakin both disagree with the Jedi Order, I believe that Ashoka is the perfect if not the only person for him to talk to. While Anakin and Ashoka are having this heart to heart, he mentions how Padmè is pregnant and he’s had visions she will die in childbirth, and that this coupled with the rumor he heard from the Chancellor that a former Sith had the power to save those which he loved. This is where Maul comes in and says how if such a power existed, he would’ve used it to save his brother. Anakin immediately goes for his lightsaber, but Ashoka stops him and says Maul’s on their side now. Maul reveals his visions of Order 66 and the fall of the Jedi and the emerging of the Empire, with two dominant forces at the top, Sidious and Vader. And that if he can ally himself with Vader, Sidious will be done for, but with Ashoka, he is certain of a very hard fought but earned victory. Anakin confirms his feeling for the dark side and power do exist, but he doesn’t want to be the man in Maul’s vision. All parties in agreement, Maul says that upon completion of the task, he will undo everything Sidious has put into place. Anakin leaves the party to continue spying on the chancellor, when he reveals he’s the Sith Lord. Now instead of telling Mace, he instead goes to Ashoka and Maul to confirm the news. The three do not hesitate and head back to the chancellor’s office, to which he says he thought he felt the presence of his feeble former apprentice. To which Anakin says enough talk, the Jedi won’t put you to justice, but we will. Cue corkscrew and demon screech, Maul knowing this move, counters with a swift parry, no new tricks eh Maul says, the three try to converge on him but he’s too nimble and quick with his evades, but so are they, so the battle is at an impasse, to which Anakin yells enough and force pushes him with enough strength to disarm him and leave a crack in the wall of his office. Sidious lie there cackling, good, good he says, use your anger and strike me down, he prepares the final blow but gets blasted with lightning to the other side of the room. He glances at Maul who glances at Ashoka, then Palpatine blasts a stream at Maul who reflects it to Ashoka who reflects it back to Palpatine, while he’s getting shocked, Anakin regains his footing in an instant and leaps over Maul and slams his lightsaber through Palpatine’s chest. In his dying breath, Palpatine looks at Anakin and says, you were supposed to be the one. To which he responds, I always was, just a matter of perspective. He removes and turns off his lightsaber. Followed by Ashoka and Maul. They all stand staring at each other a second and collect themselves. What now? Ashoka says. We should probably start with those clones of yours Maul says. He walks over to Palpatine’s desk and turns on the hologram channel for all clones, he says, Sidious has been comprised, execute Order 99 (anti order 66 which supposedly brings clones back) we then cut to clones pulling out their inhibitor chips and helping those who can’t. It was that easy, Anakin said, Yes the clones were programmed to follow a set of orders no matter the circumstance and a fail safe was made, should Sidious be compromised and forced to give the order Maul says. They all glance at each other again and Anakin says anything else I should know before I send you back to Mandalore? Maul replies, the visions of your wife dying in labor were not real, but made by Sidious to sway you to his side. So you can go home to her if you wish, and also, just because my vision saw you as Sith, doesn’t mean you have to stay a Jedi. Ashoka chimes in, if you ever feel like the Jedi Order does you wrong, feel free to contact me, I was thinking of starting a new order, one not so narrow minded and more open for improvement, Anakin replies, you know what, if they don’t make me master after all this, I’ll join you. Maul chimes in, and if you ever need extra firepower, Mandalore remains available, no longer in shambles. The three part and the Galaxy starts it’s first age in a millennia with peace.

I mean she could have killed Anakin if she had got to him before he became Vader - if he actually convinced her that Anakin was evil she could have easily killed him because he wouldn't be on-guard with Ahsoka easily enabling her to stab him in the back, especially since she could stand right next to him with a lightsaber in her hand and that would be completely normal to Anakin. With her killing Vader Palpatine loses his apprentice making him pissed off sidious but whether they could beat him is different - if they warned the Jedi of order 66 then he couldn't take out the entire Jedi order alone but Sidious could still use order 66 before Ahsoka and Maul acted if he knew what was going on.
