All great news! I never stopped wearing skinnies or polka dots. I can dust off an ancient large purple Bottega Veneta bag. And keep wearing my gold leather biker jacket, and gold Adidas trainers (not at the same time). Plus my old Marella hoodie with sequins on the hood, and one sequin stripe down each sleeve. Good job as, instead of buying something to wear, I have just contributed to the cost of a liver transplant in the US between my niece and her daughter

Surprised myself by buying some Reformation printed and also painted jeans...usually not my thing...but ended up with a few pairs on sale (comic, pin up and decoupage, even one with avocado, budgie and fruit..all in one pair 😀) mid life crisis probably but couldn't resist. I go to my current closet, and say “Yes” to these new trends… because they are already there, other than the embellished jeans. This ole girl love some skinny pants and no one does them as good and affordable as Ann Taylor's brand Loft. The fit and prints are just so great, and they look so good under oversized sweater. I used to shop the clearance rack there but now love when I come across her brand while thrifting, you know the quality is there. Pardon the pun it was kind of Fun (poet and you didn't know it), polka dots is definitely a historian warm weather fav. Designers were trying to get people followed around by security with those extreme big bags and knocking things over. My logic is if my cell phone don't fit, I won't be purchasing it (big purse/tote vibe for me). Basically, everything you included here can still work for us that are experiencing Winter. I just thought of a lot of things on your list that I have in my accumulative wardrobe that I have not been using and 2023 is the year I pulled them out to style and get me feeling better about being 61 can be fabulous. Big bag trend, my recommendation is Liebeskind, they have great styles and great quality for not much money. I would incorporate the metallic trend with a Hobo or Tote bag. Don’t spend too much on it.

They've been saying that skinnies are out for over a year now. Then they started saying you can still wear them. Then they said don't wear them but just keep them in the back of your closet! Slimmer trousers yay. Cargos, no. I wore bright orange ones in 1999. Been there done that. Polka dots can be fun. Check out the LV x Kusama. No thanks on the oversize. YYou expand to fill the void and they just get too heavy. I can not wear yellow, it turns me yellow. I'll dig out my lemon embroidered trousers, not that I wouldn't anyway! Sadly embellished jeans look cheap too fast.

I was very disappointed and shocked by your your decision to wear a top featuring a 'cool' image of someone smoking a cigarette. As New Zealander I would assume that like me (an Australian), you would be aware of the impressive decline in smoking achieved in our respective home countries - much of this due to thirty years of disassociating tobacco from glamorous and positive images.
