Russian police officers detained anti-war protesters demonstrating in multiple cities, including Moscow, on February 24.
More protests took place in other cities in Russia, including St Petersburg and Novosibirsk, to express opposition to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. More than 1,750 protesters in 58 cities across Russia have been detained by authorities, according to human rights organization OVD-Info.
These videos show protests and ensuing police crackdowns in Moscow, St Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, and Perm.

The United States of America definitely has its issues but I must say I am very grateful to live here. I'm from Russia - and do not support this madnass decision to declare a war. But it's extremely dangerous to show publicly your disagreement. Here 2-3 years in jail for this is reality. I don't know what to do, how to stop it. Seems like any decision is fatal for us. We want peace, not war :'(

@@ЯнаМудрицкая Тут существенно больше полиции, на душу населения, чем было у вас. Плюс всяческие вспомогательные службы, которые появились за последние годы. По сути примерно половина активного населения рф так или иначе связана с охраной государства. На это тратятся огромные деньги. И полиция существенно более жестокая. Новый закон 20 лет тюрьмы за протест по теме войны. Все активные и повзрослее уже сидят. Даже навальный тот же. Мы молодёжь пытаемся что-то поменять, но мы не являемся электоратом путина, мы за него никогда не голосовали, да и на выборы не ходили, там все прикормленные, они просто перетасуют и всё. Им по сути на нас вообще наплевать.

@@ЯнаМудрицкая Мы это знаем. То, что эти беспилотники собирались у вас уже больше года. Это была абсолютно публичная информация. Даже не имеющий отношения к армии человек это мог знать, это много раз было в сми. Эти же беспилотники стреляли в недавнем конфликте в Армении, когда технику уничтожали без каких-либо шансов. Разведка и военные же об этом всём тем более должны были знать... но мы теперь видим, то что мы видим... у меня нет слов просто... насколько это всё вызывает злость, эта вся несправедливость и неправильность того, что твориться...
