I am definitely getting back into those - the meal prep has been off the priority list for the last few weeks as we have just been having really simple meals - chicken and salad on repeat!!! but I am keen to start cooking properly again!!!

That's odd that people comment negatively on the colour of your boy's bedding ...... I have a 15 year old daughter and everything she wants, including bedding, is black and it's the same for the majority of the girls in her grade.... I love that you let them pick the colour of their room and accessories

I remember reading something about IKEA taking their old unwanted furniture for recycling. I’m not sure if they do it in Australia or not. Love seeing how you’re organising your new place. They have a buyback scheme but I think it has to be in fair to good or as new condition - I looked at doing this for a few items but ended up selling them on marketplace! I hope your rental inspection went well - I hate having random strangers looking through my house except the last apartment where the agents all followed me on Instagram and always commented on my pics 😎🙌😅💫

I'm finally getting some time to catch up on all of your awesomeness from the last couple of months. You’ve done so well without a lot of storage. My house has a loft for things we don’t need to access often and we are also spoilt with a double garage which we have boarded so Xmas decorations etc are stored in the roof and can easily be accessed. We had a huge clear out 3 years ago when we moved here but still have quite a lot of stuff, maybe time for another declutter after Xmas. Love seeing your kitchen storage, thanks for sharing. Would love to see a video on your Xmas/Dec family traditions maybe info on Xmas in Oz x

I honestly can't even believe how much stuff we have decluttered and gotten rid of in the past month!!! I'm editing some old footage for a video coming up and even I can't believe how much STUFF I kept stored simply because I had the space to store it 😅I would honestly love a SMALL storage cage at this apartment just to take the things like Christmas tree, holiday decorations, beach tent and surf gear and stuff like that, but definitely not a double car garage that just fills up with so much stuff 😱

I honestly am loving re-downsizing to this apartment - if it had a tiny storage cage for the Christmas and holiday decor and things like beach gear it'd be awesome, but I LOVE the fact that not having space to just store random stuff forces you to really analyse what you ACTUALLY need to keep and what can just go!!!!

I’m so glad I’m not the only one who “showers” their dog. When we walk on the ridge it’s muddy from all the rain so she has a shower with me. It’s much easier when my husband is at home to help otherwise I have to towel her off before I have my shower. Your kitchen and living area look lovely. Before we downsized and moved last year I threw out thirty years of accumulated family “stuff”. Unfortunately I also tossed all the Christmas decorations so I need to go out and buy something a little bit festive, at least a wreath and a table runner. The main problem with having Christmas decorations is that you have to store them all year and we don’t have much storage space. Half of our garage is taken up with stuff my husband refuses to get rid of and there’s no space under our bed, so anything I buy will probably end up in our already cluttered garage…

He sometimes gets a bath in the laundry tub but their was too much washing going on there so it was a quick and easy shower!!! I am honestly soooo glad to be rid of the double garage and storage space from the old house - even though a small storage area would be great for holiday and beach stuff - it honestly became what I called a cr@p-trap!!! I even amazed myself with how much STUFF quickly accumulated after only a year there - just because we had the space to put stuff rather than dealing with it - putting it on marketplace, taking it to the tip or donating it to charity!!!

Yes I do love that the pantry is adjustable with the shelves - I have switched those around a few times!!! Freddie is a good boy and loves a shower - I think he likes the cuddles getting dry the best!!!

I got the feeling that you downsized your staff a lot and that is giving me motivation to do that as well. If i was in your shoes i would try to find places and put things away in order to be able to clean easily. Too many jars on display but i can understand the problem of lack of space. I have downsized probably by more than half the amount of stuff we had at our last place!!! I think I will continue to downsize and rearrange in the kitchen until more of the things on the countertops can fit into the cupboards and drawers - we just need to finish off some of the things in the pantry to make space and live here a bit longer to figure out what work in which spaces - lucky I like rearranging and organising!!!! Yay for Vlogmas! Our yard is so wet and muddy and our house is full of mud and dirt because of our dogs so we are constantly cleaning them and the floors (and vacuuming the bed because of all the dirt they bring in!). Love the rain but getting a little over it now.

The insulated tumblers?? They are a brand Evereco and I bought mine from a local health food store - absolutely worth the purchase I think they were around $30 and I thought it was a bit pricey for a tumbler but they have lasted perfectly!!!

You have done well to manage your kitchen space. There's never enough room in an apartment especially if you want to do a big stock up. Freddy is adorable and a big high five to you for giving him the confidence to go in the shower. Love his food station, double check those half eaten treats are not rawhide or don't contain rawhide - if they do swap them out for something else (you can do your own research on rawhide). ❤️❤️

I know I wish there was just a little bit more dedicated kitchen storage for a few more appliances - when I do the hallway cupboard declutter and organising I might try and make room for a few more - I really want an air fryer to try out -in fact I might try and convince the kids to forget the microwave and use that space for an airfryer and a toaster press instead!!! I've heard someone else comment about rawhide - I will have to look it up I know the peanut butter bone is not rawhide and one of the others is a sweet potato stick, but I think the skinny one that was wrapped in dried chicken may have been a rawhide...weird they make treats for dogs with it if it's no good!!!!

@@TheSundayStylist Rawhide kills thousands of dogs each year. There are many petitions going to try and get it banned in Australia especially imported ones sold at cheap $1 stores. The pet food market in this country is not regulated (another petition) so basically anyone can sell utterly toxic and crap food which is sad. Thanks for being such a good furkid mum 💗💗

It’s the Breville Essenza (not sure how to spell it!!) with the Nespresso Aerocino - it cam in a bundle and has lasted a good few years of daily use and just this week I noticed a crack in the water jug 😭

We we have pantry moths I have tried everything to get rid of them what do you recommend what did you do

I did the trick of washing the containers (be really through if they have seals take them apart) then freezing the containers - one subscriber said she put her bags of rice and flour into the freezer overnight before putting them in the pantry. Also if you have a pantry that has adjustable shelves with the little holes in the wlas for the shelf pegs, you need to get a skewer and clean out EVERY one of them as the moths use that to get in and lay their (whatever baby moths are called!!!) I also sprayed by clove oil anti mould spray but maybe try eucalyptus or something teatree based. Another tip from a viewer was to put bay leaves in your pantry!

Yep it went on marketplace before we moved as I wanted to go back to a rectangular table (and easier clean option for a change loved the glass but it takes a while to get all the fingerprints off 100%) - sold well and for a good price - it's still available online where I bought it so I figure if I miss it too much I can always sell the new one and buy it again!!! It was around $300 new too so not going to break the bank like some dining tables can!!!

The garland piece was from TK Maxx just recently I think it was around $40 - it's designed to be hung like a wreath as well as lay flat, the table runner also from TK Maxx - I'm planning on using it as a bed runner after Xmas so it's not super Christmassy, the star lights are from Ikea - they have them every year - they also sell the bases or you can clip the paper star frames onto any lamp base xxx

I have been watching loads of cooking channels myself lately for meal inspiration as I feel like I'm in a bit of a culinary rut!! Gordon Ramsay has been a fave - I actually like his cooking channel more than the tv shows where he's just yelling at everybody 😜the older videos where he gets his kids in the kitchen cooking with him are great - and no swearing!!!

I love your... what did you call it? ...overstock drawers? I have the same thing... all kinds of random stuff that won't go bad that we will absolutely use up... paper products, various soaps and detergents, and every size plastic bag you can think of, stuff like that... I call it "The Store"... had one for years! The new apartment looks great! I'm kinda envious of being able to start over with a clean slate. I inherited my parents' house when they passed, along with all (girl... AAALLLLL!) the stuff in it, and of course I had a house full of stuff too, so... yeah... I'm jealous! Something I'd like to see in a video: How do you still have the motivation to clean home after home after home and to organise everything starting from zero? 😞 I'm having this problem, I don't even wanna bother any longer, this is my sixth apartment and it's the one before I hope to actually buy my own place in three-four months. I would be concerned with all of the items stored on either side of the stove. When you are cooking, especially frying, wouldn't you need to remove these items or they will get splattered? Also, you would need that valuable space for cooking utensils, ingredients, used in preparation of the meals.

I don't fry much at all and messy things to cook I use the BBQ - I am a particularly clean cook 😅and there's heaps of room on the bench behind for prep and enough space for utensils. In an ideal world in my dream kitchen I wouldn't have anything much beside the stove but just making do with what we have for now and can always rearrange if it doesn't suit xx

I heard someone say that dogs legs stop growing if they get desexed young - he was at just over 6 months!!! I think they look extra long when he doesn't have a super fluffy coat to disguise them 😅❤💫
