For the last few days I’ve been waking up with an empty dishwasher (it works best for me when I get it on straight after dinner and unpack it before bed). Total game changer and one that I would’ve NEVER come to on my own. Thank you!!

Good Morning & Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas watching hope you enjoy today’s video following in from last weeks organised kitchen tour 🙌♥️🙌 keeping the kitchen neat, clean and under control doesn’t need to be made into a mammoth task just follow these simple suggestions and once you’ve got it cleaned up implement daily ha it’s a routines to keep it that way! Thanks for watching and see you in the next video 😍 also there’s 14 tips in the video but the thumbnail was already made and 10 sounds catchier but another tip I forgot to mention is to bring your whole night routine of cooking eating dinner and cleaning up earlier by an hour so you’re not too tired by the end to clean up - same for your morning routine if you’re struggling to get everything done in the mornings get up 15x30 minutes earlier so you can make sure you have time to clean up after breakfast before you have to leave the house xxx

we love you so much. wish we'd met years ago. couple of thoughts, if i may: we know you dislike your samsung washing machine, with reason. please, i hope you will consider selling it--tell the truth about its shortcomings; take a little dollar loss, but get it out of your lovely home. buy a machine you love. i've noticed also that you have to hold up the lid of the machine when loading the dryer, thus losing the use and speed of your two hands. long ago my mother owned a washing machine that ate clothes--i never understood why she kept that appliance. don't invest in a clothing steamer just yet; I haven't ironed in many many years, happily enough. this process may not work for everyone. i take all my shirts from the dryer and put them on hangers then take outside to the deck. place shirts in links of strong but decorative chain which are permanently mounted above the deck, normally used for hanging lanterns or windchimes. using a garden hose with good water pressure and trigger attachment soak the clothing thoroughly stretch or pull the fabric as needed. flowers and vines down below get watered. process is not as onerous as it sounds. one does need a very dry climate. in the winter i use same process but use chain or bamboo pole mounted in the bathroom. note: clothing in the dryer = most serious wrinkles vanish my shirts come out of the hose and chain process heavy and stiff as though they had been starched i think because of our very hard water it's 2 a.m. going to santa fe in the morning. sorry for the lengthy comment--new to this. what a nice group of people you all are. love gail and spencer taos nm

Morning quiet time with coffee is essential for me. One of the best things my Mom taught me is to clean up as you go, especially with cooking. Instead of cooking/baking and making a big mess then having to spend the time cleaning up. This tip has come in handy not just for every day, but for big family holiday dinners or dinner parties. I HAVE to have a clean kitchen before I go to bed. I love waking up to a fresh, bright clean kitchen. 🥰💐🌷🌺🌞🏜️🌵💗🥰💐🌷🌺🌞🏜️🌵💗🥰💐🌷🌺🌞🏜️🌵💗

Such a good video with awesome tips! As someone who suffers from MS I implemented the same type of system (I love how you word it! "for your future self"!) so everything is always ready when I need to clean and/or organize. When you are ill, energy is already so limited, it's fun to know you're ready when a spill happens, or that your meal is already 90% prep when it's time to cook! As you said it requires discipline, but it's so rewarding!

Happy Mother’s Day. Ours in UK is in March. Hope you are having a well deserved treat day. Great video. My 16 yr old empties the dishes each morning so works well to put on overnight for us. I do the same with foods, keeping the options to a minimum. I also try and do a food declutter regularly. I take things out of boxes etc if there’s just one or 2 things left and make meals around what we have that needs using up. Granola is greats when I have loads of left over nuts, friend fruit etc Definitely get everyone in the house to help clear up after meals. I love clear work tops, especially as our kitchen, dining & family area is an open plan room so I don’t want to see a mess when sitting on the sofa. Love Method Wild rhubarb 💕

Habit stacking! Brilliant. I love how you've applied this to the kitchen @16:09. It sounds so much more do-able. Also loved the alliteration haha. To be honest I don't remember the last time I cleaned my kitchen floors (it's so embarrassing. They're not awful but still). I can't wait to implement your mop tip. My dish washer only gets put on about twice a week. Lately I eat lunch and have dinner alone so no much mess cooking food. I handwash my pans and some pots. I also don't make any elaborated meals. Lately I have issues with my food intolerances so just simple meals for a while. No complicated meals mean not much stuff to wash. I also clean and put away as I go so never have messes anywhere. (Except my study/ craft room where there are either exams or other pupils works to be checked and sometimes craft projects I'm working on).

An extra spray of Mrs Meyers on floor boosts the process of hot water. I fully enjoy coffee in peace in the morning. And making a real meal cuz the kitchen is ready to use when I worked in a restaurant everything had to be left clean and organized so I can do this at home too which is a very important space and saves money because I am a far better cook and know what is really in my food.

Tips on teen boys making it into the trash with their rubbish without screaming or giving them away? I've tried it all and I'm close to running away from home🙃🤷‍♀️ my oldest has autism so it's always a battle to ask him to tidy but he never throws anything away even if the trash is next to him

Since my teen was little we always ended our morning routine with 20-30 mins tv time. I used this as a buffer if we were running late and an insensitive to get ready quickly to get Max time. I’d have a chat at a time you are all calm and explain what you expect. I would say they can have access to phones/screen/free time when everything is done. My 16 yr old loves a routine (he’s also autistic) and in the past I have made a little routine card/check list as I find it less stressful to refer to that than repeat myself. I generally ask my kids to do small chores before evening meals as I find they get on with it or they are late for their food. Good luck

I currently live in a house with very unpredictable almost constant background noise so I speak quickly to get the videos recorded, I also want to maintain people's interest and find people click off if the voicovers are too slow - you can actually slow down the playback of YT videos and by setting to .75 playback speed you can listen at a slower pace 🙌

You can adjust the playback speed to .75 and it changes the audio to a slower pace without distorting the voice 🙌
