The disappointing thing I’ve seen in some videos of cheaper DC fans is ridiculously fast lows. Sometimes like the medium of a traditional fan. I assume it has something to do with cheaper DC motors being harder to regulate. This one seems to have a decent low though, how is it compared to a traditional fan? On the other hand, some DC fans have really nice slow lows. I guess maybe they have more expensive motors or something

I agree, it seems to depend on the complexity of the motor controller and its ability to precisely govern the speed. This fan definitely doesn't have that "aesthetic low" that some other DC ceiling fans do. It's a very practical low speed, and it stirs up a solid breeze. I'd say this is on par with most other 52" ceiling fans, if not, it has a slight edge. I'm guessing it's a combination of the well-optimized curved blades and the strong DC motor.

I have their wall bath heaters and they are great love the smart features like having Siri turn it on or off when ever i need the heater on so was wondering if this fan can be controlled by Siri since the heaters do work with Siri i will be purchasing this fan in the black color.

I believe Dreo recently added Siri shortcuts compatibility with an app update. I haven't tried using this fan with Siri so I can't confirm whether it works or what the range of features Siri can control is.

@ i just got my fan installed yesterday and yes it has Siri Shortcuts works perfect this is a great fan super quiet and it looks very nice also love it.

Does it put out a high pitch sound while the fan is running?

It doesn’t emit any high pitch noise when it runs. I have pretty sensitive hearing and my ears don’t pick up any sound from the motor. The sound of the blades moving air is the only thing you’ll hear.

@TheSuperFanMan I bought a harbor breeze dc fan and it emits a high pitch squeal when the fan runs. Was told it normal and it's from the dc converter. This fan looks really nice and was think of replacing the squeal machine with it.

Seems like you can lose your hand if you accidentally hit the fan at one of its higher settings...

It certainly would hurt, but pretty much any ceiling fan would do the same.

This fan is certainly something. It would most likely have similar pros and cons to other smart fans. I do find it disappointing how the fan is not reversible although I am not too familiar with ceiling fans but I assume having it be reversible is common. These are reminding me of those bionaire fans with their brushless DC motors and 6 speeds, I just hope this fan uses an actual decently reliable motor.

You actually brought up a good point that I failed to mention in the video! The fan is reversible. There's a button on the remote that you can press while the fan is in motion, and it'll reverse the rotation direction. I guess only time will tell how well it'll hold up, but judging by the overall build quality, I think it'll last a while.
