Man he seems like such a nice guy that just actually loves guitar and gear. Someone isn't happy with his product? He doesn't get defensive, he's understanding and tries to improve it! He seems so genuine in every video I've seen him in. And that's not even mentioning the fact that these little amps sound fucking AWESOME! I _really_ want one of those Iridium edition amps! Great video :)

He was such a genuinely nice guy and AMAZING guitarist! And you have to think...he basically did exactly the same video with every KZbinr at 42GS and by the last day he was still as excited about it as he was on the first day! He just loves playing guitar and talking about nerdy stuff...it was such an honour to meet Thomas and do a video with him!!

It's good to use an attenuator with this amp, because it sounds different at different volumes. Maybe you want more crunch out of the clean channel and what works better over 50% which might be too loud for the room. I play it normally with the volume at 7. And I have a passive Silencer attenuator.

well , if I play vintage channel in iridium I am think thats are gary moore / evh /vintage / accept / u.d.o kind of sound

I think this could also be a good choice for homerecording guitarists, that is if the speaker sim on the DI can be switched off so you can use IR for speaker simulation.
@TSFAHTPS5 жыл бұрын
I'd imagine you should be able to turn it off...not sure though
@ithebastardking28005 жыл бұрын
The loudspeaker simulation of the AMP1™ Iridium Edition is analog and is voiced specially for metal sounds. A special Current Feedback creates an authentic tube amp feel with punch and bite. In order to realize even more authentic loudspeaker simulations, "IR" (impulse responses) are also often used. To do this, the internal (analog) speaker simulation of the AMP1™ Iridium Edition can be turned off, so you can use the impulse responses of your favorite cabinet.

Well there you go...you can turn it off...thank you!!

The SuperFunAwesomeHappyTime Pedal Show! No prob bro, it’s all on the @bluguitar website😉 Just need wait a few weeks untill the irdiums are in the shops😏 Great channel btw!

The Iridium edition uses an Ir and can be turned off, the mercury edition uses an analog cab sim and cannot be turned off, but using a DI with a pad will let you connect to an audio interface.
@PooNinja5 жыл бұрын
all three seem cool but the iridium edition has the High gain the metal head in me craves. what happened to thing 2 has anyone asked him that or are they too afraid to know the truth...or is there an amp 2 hiding in the shop with a stereo power section?

Does it sound better than a grandmeister deluxe? I saw that you have some hk amps back there. I have a grandmeister deluxe and thinking about the mercury for a warmer more organic sound. Is it?
@TSFAHTPS5 жыл бұрын
They are different...would be interesting to do a side by side though! The Amp 1 is probably a bit more flexible in the sounds you can get out of it...if it's warmer and more organic...I'm not sure - sorry! I was extremely impressed by the Amp 1...but what you see in this video is literally all the time I had with it...hopefully we might be getting one for a full review soon
