Its funny how "modern" guitarists never use their volume and tone on the guitars anymore. Back in the 70s, this was common practice. Many of the classic rock songs from groups like Zeppelin, Skynyrd, Van Halen etc used their volume knobs to get a cleaner sounding tone, then turned up the volume on the guitar to get a more overdriven sound. Steve Morse once told me to blend into the background during vocals to just turn your tone knob down, which makes the guitar sound more "flat" allowing the higher end frequencies to come to the front of the mix, then when the guitar solo was needed, to turn the tone pot back up. Looking at 95 percent of guitarists today, I don't even know why guitar manufacturers still put volume and tone pots on a guitar. Most of the guitar players never use them today.

What you hear is what you get! And what I hear is really sounding good. I like your show, its like looking into a rehearsal room in the neigherhood where two friend are figuring out a new device. So I can hear what it really sounds like, and that counts for me. The typical commercial videos from the manufacturers Do not really represents the Real situation of the normal Musicans out there. So nice Video, it took me 1 hour of my life to see it, keep it up guys. Great style.

If you use the "edit all" screen, you can get to the extra amp options by holding your finger on the amp slot for a few seconds. I really like my G11, but they could definitely streamline the UI a bit.

I'm really enjoying the long videos! I have to say I'm impressed. I came in pretty skeptical, but these amp models sound genuinely great, and I love the layout that separates the amp and pedals. I'm still not quite sure how the price fits into the current market, but I can't fault the product...

Thanks Randy...yeah it’s a great product...if only they made it a bit cheaper! But yes...I’m very impressed with it

This has a similar "oomph" that the quad cortex has. I'm really thinking about scooping this up. The only downside might be the knob sensitivity I couldn't hear a dramatic difference when you guys were adjusting them but man I can't get over how clear and seemingly low latency this bad boy is. Very nice!
@shawnhedrick35703 жыл бұрын
Does this have the RME level of low real-time latency (RTL) as an audio interface? The Zoom UAC-2 is a great audio interface in this regard, it would be a huge plus if the G11 had the same RTL.

I've got a Helix Rack and a Boss GT-100. I wanted something that wasn't as heavy as the rack and something that was very simple, so I took the plunge and just bought a G11. I play in a cover band doing classic rock and yacht rock so I think the G11 will do any of that no problem. If you like Pina Coladas ... And getting caught in the rain .... Edited to add: By the way, Wilkinson guitar site has a FREE IR zip called the "God IR". It has ... hold on to your hat ... 4,000 IRs and its free to download.

Sounds pretty decent if utilised properly, I’ve stayed away from Zoom for about 25yrs having had a Zoom 505 in my youth, was the first guitar FX unit I ever had, didn’t particularly like it then so got rid pretty quick, the G11 obviously being more pro end, better technology now seems to sound nice enough. Kabor you really make me laugh when you use the word enbiggen 🤣😂 you should write Kabor’s Thesaurus. Cheers for the demo boys!

What about the harmonies... besides octave above and below. Pedal is also a real time continuous controller that should be employed while playing, or is it not?

Kindly, Have a look on the Boosters and Reverbs. Thinking about getting one to pair with my Boss Katana 100 MKII. What do you think ?
@TSFAHTPS3 жыл бұрын
Will do! Yeah that would work...the Katana has tons of effects on it...could almost be a bit overkill! I think this thing excels at amp sims and going direct into a PA or for direct Recording

@ChidOki2 жыл бұрын
Zoom products always do have some “hum” or white noise that with more aggressive overdrives or if gain is turned up on distorted amp models. I believe it’s because they really try to create the digital signals to be very similar to how real pedals work. Instead of building in a hidden noise gate you can’t control, What i picked up from all of Zoom’s preset patches is they stick their custom Zoom Noise Gate (“ZNR”) as the first “pedal” in the effects chain. Or you can stick an actual noise gate pedal ahead of the Zoom unit. Hope that helps

Certainly not a looker. But man, if only the Helix or Kemper or any other multifx had this kind of knob control on the surface. I loved the M13 for this reason. But G11 with amp modeling brings that pedal design concept to a new level. But yeah.... it looks like a toy.
@jumpingman81603 жыл бұрын
@@dasilvasoundstudio the knobs are great, and having the amp section always at hand is stelar. That said, i'd do away with those mini readers, put a larger touchscreen and 6 or 8 knobs beneath it, leaving the amp knobs as they are.
