Inputting Punchcard Patterns on a Brother KH-930/40/65/65i & Introduction To The Lace Carriage - 1

In this video I will explain how to input a simple lace punchcard design on a Brother KH965i electronic knitting machine but the instructions given will also apply to Brother models KH-930, KH-940 and KH-965 knitting machines.
I will show how to add the memo information for the knit rows with the main carriage and give basic instructions and tips on how to use the lace carriage with the latter electronic models.

Hi there hope you are okay I am now the proud owner of a brother 965 and am only used to punchcard machines. I have a garter carriage that fits both 881 and 965 and have never used one before and like all machine knitters want to run before I can walk. I have watched your video of the baby blanket with teddy bears on and like always want to do this. what do I need to do to enable me to do this properly. I will watch all your videos and should be able to do this. I have some patterns that I can transfer to 965 so I will be watching very closely indeed thank very much

Hi Alex, I only have a KH910. Do I simply transfer the grey dots onto my mylar sheet for the 12rs and 12s pattern? Really good explanation.

Is there any difference between the 965 and 965i? I am thinking of buying the 965 but if the 965i is a better option and has more functionality I will definitely get that one. Thank you for a very informative tutorial 😊 (like your sense of humour too ).

Both machines work identically, they have the same built in patterns and the same console. The 965i has the addition of the 8 pin interface port for connecting the disc drive and DAK software, if you use that. People who use DAK tend to go for the 965i but both machines are great choices.
