I'm Thai and now living in Thailand. This video clearly expresses some Thais opinion about the new king (Rama X). We know it all but we CANNOT say. I should suggest you DO NOT say these in public! There are a lot of royalists people who might disagree. You will get in the conflict. I WARN YOU. However, if I say anything more, I might be getting arrested. For the foreigners, if you visit Thailand, "DO NOT CRITICIZE" or better just IGNORE the royal family because it's quite a sensitive topic (especially about "King Rama IX" - who beloved by almost Thais) for some Thai people. The Lésé majesté law here still strongly in practice. Btw, Thailand is not that dangerous country. You are safe therefore feel free to visit. If you super want to criticize the royal family with your Thai friend, just to be sure that he/she feel free to talk and let's have fun to gossip.
My wife is Thai, I've been there 3 times. I said once that the royal family was the riches in the world, and they told me to be quiet lol It wasn't even a negative comment, but they were so worried about someone taking it the wrong way they wanted me to be quiet, for my own safety! That's one of the bad things about Thailand, that you have no freedom of speech. But, I do like Thailand, I just don't like that. It's wrong.

Since I am Thai and I can't criticise, here is a fact about potatoes. The potato is a starchy, tuberous crop from the perennial nightshade Solanum tuberosum. In many contexts, potato refers to the edible tuber, but it can also refer to the plant itself.[2] Common or slang terms include tater, tattie and spud. Potatoes were introduced to Europe in the second half of the 16th century by the Spanish. Today they are a staple foodin many parts of the world and an integral part of much of the world's food supply. As of 2014, potatoes were the world's fourth-largest food crop after maize (corn), wheat, and rice.[3] en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Potato

We might from a small country but once we have the great King. (King rama9) who have spend all his life hardworking for Thai people. I was born and reign in this era, saw every activities the king had done for us for people in the rural area till the last period of his life😭. You might not understand why the country cry when the king pass away, some said there is no miracle but for us the miracle is already happen during 50 years of reign. We don't call him King but we call "Nai Luang"(Your Majesty). My grandma told me after the king rama9 was reign , he was too young and must get back Switzerland to study. One of old people shout "Nai Luang don't desert your people! And The King answer if the people do not desert me, how can I desert them.😭 From the bottom of my heart we still miss him. "คึดถึงในหลวง" This is not a story, but a legend that pass to the next generation. Some said we are developing country but this land never lost in love and kind. At least this small country have our own language yet never been colonized by any countries. I am proud to be Thai.🇹🇭proud The Kingdom of Thailand. Ps: As professional media, Please kindly do more research before released any contents. There are many misunderstanding info about Thai royal family that presented in this vedio!
If he was such a great king, he should spend his money on thai people. It didn't happen. He kept the money to himself and his family. Not that great king to me.

Well Thais bow to the ground to almost all important people in their live, mom, dad, teachers, priests. Do you even know that songkran day is a day where you show your love and respect to your parent, by saying how you apreciate them then you BOW TO THE GROUND FOR THEM. Bowing to the ground is bot something you only do for the royal family. Thais loved king rama 9 to thier heart. He archeived in many thing to help Thais, when there is a diasaster he go there to find solution for it. So dont think we are forced to bow to them. I remember one time while she was watching us, she was looking at me and smiled, whispered to her entourage something only to find out that she's curious if I am a Thai. When she learned that I am not, she apparently said that no wonder why I have a beautiful voice and great skills. She even waved at me before she left that night while I am still on stage. She may not be very popular royal in Thailand but she indeed is a new generation of decent royals of Thailand. If there is no Le Majeste the despicable new king would not probably be a king.
