This was a free pile find at the Stone Mountain Hamfest in November 2024. Since it was free, I am sure there is something wrong with it. I picked it up for a friend of mine as a Christmas present, lets see if we can fix it!

First job would be to disable the annoying sound from the electronic load! :-)

Please get a tripod. But very happy to see your sound soldering technique. Lay the side of the iron on the joint for best heat transfer. Prodding with the point is no good - you have to stay in contact much longer and risk overheating stuff.

the caps just look glued, to prevent vibration. edit: yep, but it's later better visible, that they leaked

Is there no way to toggle the power on/off while setting the voltage? Looks like it might be easy to overshoot while turning the voltage encoder.
