UPDATE: there is actually 4 preset eq's that you can change by pressing the vol button it. Stock Sound, High Boost, Bass Boost, and Who know what the heck the 4th is, LOL. Stock sound is still the best, but if you want more lows or bass it is there This was not shown in the manual or anything, never even though about pressing in the vol button, my bad!

I watched every relevant review in search of a replacement for my rig 800lx's and went with the Corsair HS75 XB. So far I'm very happy and am grateful for the guidance. @@xnakeg ive had good luck with the corsairs, had them a few years now. they sound great and are easy to use, and light. eventually the padded strap that goes across the top of your head started to wear out and fray. im due for a new pair soon.

I dig your review and based on the review I actually bought these headphones. I have to correct you on one thing though: you can change EQ settings. Unlike most other headphones these require the dolby app it’s not an option. That’s why they didn’t offer you a code and slipped it into the headphones itself. They don’t want you to give the code away because you need the app to make changes to the sound. And with the Dolby app you can make EQ changes. And there’s pretty significant IMO. Loving these headphones so far: appreciate your review

DO NOT BUY!! But let me explain why I have never been more unimpressed by an electronic product. Especially when you consider the standard that Corsair claims to have. I ordered a brand new, HS75 Wireless Headset for use with my Xbox Series X. Initially the headset looked to be of fantastic quality. Tough, ridged, sleek design. Connecting them to my Xbox was seem-less and easy to do and even downloading and using the Dolby Atmos app was very simple. Upon hearing the headset for the first time, I was immensely impressed with the sound quality so it was at this point I thought that I had made an intelligent, worth while purchase. But that’s where the positives stopped. Within 10 minutes of use, the sound from the headset shut off. Not the headset itself as the white LED indicated they were still on. Just the sound turned off. According to my Xbox, the headset had not disconnected and the volume control hadn’t miraculously turned all the way down under its own accord. They just simply stopped producing sound. At first, I chalked this up as a mild annoyance and assumed it due to a new headset trying to establish a connection. So I completely turned the headset off, turned them back and reconnected them to my Xbox. But about 20 minutes later, it did it again. Now frustrated but still wanting to give this headset a chance, I excused it as a waning battery so I let the headset charge for roughly 6 hours. Later that evening, I attempted to start an online party with some friends of mine through Xbox Live. So I turned my headset on (and reconnected them, of which I found it odd that I had to reconnect them yet again), and grabbed the detachable boom mic to plug in. Well wouldn’t you know it, when I plugged in the mic, not a single person could hear me. For several minutes, I checked the settings on my Xbox trying to diagnose the problem, hoping that the new headset just had settings that needed to be adjusted. When that proved not to be the case, I realized that the problem must be with the headset itself. As soon as I grabbed the base of the mic (while it was still plugged in mind you), I immediately discovered that the mic itself wasn’t able to secure a good enough connection to the headset. What I’m trying to say is the detachable mic with the 3.5mm jack would, for lack of better terms, “wiggle” after being plugged in. Even with the weird proprietary plug pattern that this mic features, it would not permit a connection stable enough to utilize the mic in any form or fashion without holding light but consistent pressure on it which is, suffice it to say, very impractical. In all, this type of hardware issue is something to be expected out of a device from a discount store or a “bootleg” item if you will. But from a company that promotes itself as having higher standards, a hardware issue that even a blind man could discover through even a rushed inspection (as I said before, the mic very clearly “wiggles” when it very clearly should not) should not be acceptable by either the manufacturer or consumer. Needless to say, a glaring error such as this and then one that renders the device essentially useless is enough to prevent me from purchasing or advising anyone else to purchase Corsair products in the future. But who knows. Maybe you get lucky but what I’m seeing is about half of the reviews have the same issues. I should have went with my gut and bought the Steel Series Artics 9X’s in the first place.

@@jgsfastf0rd Yup, no issues so far. The integration with the Xbox is sweet, having a notification pop up saying the headset is connected is nice. Plus, they turn off with the Xbox as well like the controller which is a big plus for me. The sound is top notch, you can customise all your presets and stuff through the Atmos app which it automatically connects to and Atmos really brings the games alive. Hopefully more games integrating it fully. Build quality is awesome .... got the aluminium stand to go with it as well. They are replacing my gen 2 A50's which have literally snapped into pieces. These are much more refined and better in every way. The only thing I've noticed is because of my big ears there's slightly less space compared to the Astros but they're still comfy! USB C was another reason I picked them, no way am I spending £150+ on a microusb headset. Ultimately if they're for your series X, I don't think there's anything more complete on the market at this point. Not even the SteelSeries 7x which as they have the microusb and a dongle.

@@LATasKara Going well. Battery life is long and yes they do turn on the Series X, they have the same functionality as a normal controller in that regard. In terms of the premium look, they are premium no doubt and feel very sturdy. They look sleek with my setup as I bought the premium corsair headset stand as well but my personal taste is I don't LOVE the design as they look "industrial", made for a purpose, mature I guess! Overall though great headset and sound quality, will hold up much better than my plastic A50's as well.

I own these and the Stealths, the Stealths are miles better in audio quality, have more features and are cheaper. The Stealths have deeper, more powerful bass and the trebles are clearer. Music and gaming is amazing on them. The Corsairs are more flat, I want to really like them however I just can't put them past the Stealth. The corsairs are lighter and more comfy for me, but not enough to out them ahead of Stealth

YOU CAN REMOVE THE EAR PADS. I got this response from Corsair today. Can you please try it? "They are replaceable, but we do not have the ear pads yet to replace them. It should be the same way all the other HS series are removed, which is by twisting them and then taking them off. I got this Corsair HS75 and I don't like the fit. They are not snug enough and the volume isn't that high, maybe cause sound is leaking out idk. UPDATE I went for the Razer Kaira Pro and I am satisfied with them overall. Yes there is a lrandom static and loss, but seems more like Xbox dedicated wireless interface than the headsets fault cause the Corsair did the same thing. Audio and Mic are great and I like the tighter fit as well.

Way I see it, for $150 these should include Bluetooth to be able to connect to at least your mobile device simultaneously. The Xbox wireless has both Dolby and Bluetooth for $50 less. Though I guess it can afford that due to less cost on build.

I have the 75's and the Stealth 700 gen 2. Don't get the Corsair's, they sound very flat in comparison. Stealth has deeper, cleaner bass and clearer trebles. Music also sounds fantastic on them. 75's are just significantly inferior, they should be far cheaper however they are more expensive than the 700's, and have less features. Only thing the 75's have better is the comfort - they are lighter and have a lighter clamp. They also just feel a bit more premium, and the mesh cups are really cool, and they have Atmos (not worth it when sound just isn't on par). Still, the Stealth's feel great and don't feel cheap at all and you get that clear, cinematic home theatre-feel around your ears.
