Cheers mate, modular terrain is all about standardisation mate, i'm actually thinking of making a set of plasticard templates so I can ensure all my future terrain can be modular, I've already lost the cardboard one lol.

Great Video but I have a challenge for you. I dont have access to this foam but I have expanda foam... how can you make that modular?

Iv been looking for some of the pink Styrofoam that you use in your videos to do my art modelling project on. iv looked on line and in some builders merchants but carn't seem to find any. where do you buy yours from?

make and shape 1 solid piece... then cut the size hill you're wanting... saves twice the time, and uses half the steps...

TheTerrainTutor no disputing that, but in metalwork, if you need two matching sections, you shape them together then once it's formed you cut it as you need it... you've doubled your work by making 2/3 separate cliff faces...rather than making 1 cliff face then cutting it as you need it...

Yes but you have far more precise cutting tools available, if all you've got is a craft knife, utilising precut precise corners of the insulation sheet reduces the work and stress bud

valid point, but even so, cutting a straight line isn't the most difficult, for longer cuts I tend to use a carving knife if I don't have a small toothed saw available
