I have the 2018 Camaro SS in nightfall gray metallic with black powder coated rims,black lug nuts.The emblems I changed to black and the taillights and 3rd brake light. The car is very comfortable the seats hug you perfectly. The 2019 is the same engine and power. The front can easily be wrapped the color of the car to make it look better.If you get black you are fine. The back taillights are something to get used to but if you want a new SS that’s not a big deal.Great review 👍🏻😎

It would look good in all black. I also had a good laugh when he said the Camaro has better visibility than the challenger 😂. I've owned em both buddy, Camaros are known for having the worst visibility in the segment. Doesn't mean it's not a great car though.

Visibility is worse in the Challenger? What were you smoking that day? Ive been in both and the Mustang and the Camaro by far has the worst visibility of the 3 especially in the rear. They might as well not even have a back window and the back side windows are less than useless.

Front end looks mean..the Camaro SS..and the ZL1 LE are awesome muscle cars..along with the mustang gt350..hellcat etc are all great cars that look better than the average looking European cars. The performance though is better..America is in its prime at the moment..along with ford gt and the awesome Corvette ZR1...wow!!!

I own a 2002 SS. To me the most beautiful one ever. I'll admit they cheated out on it somewhat, but with a rear end upgrade and better clutch I am pleased. I am the original owner and as far as winter driving, well I do own a Jeep!

Auto stop start does very slightly improve fuel economy but the increased engine wear isn’t worth it. Nothing is harder on a car’s engine than starting from a dead stop. Imagine having that happen ten times every time you commute somewhere or going through a restaurant drive thru.

This is partially true but only cold starts are really bad for an engine when all the oil has drained from the parts that need to be lubricated. Otherwise start stop is not that bad when the engine is warm and lubricated...idling is a actually worse

kemicala No, what I said is entirely true. Stop start only wears out the engine faster due to constantly shutting off and restarting. Take a look at Consumer Reports review of the Buick LaCrosse. The new model which has stop start that cannot be disabled is rated Poor in reliability. The previous generation which did not have that technology is rated Excellent.

Good job. I just bought my SS2 two days ago, and agree with your assessment. I can understand that there are people that don’t like the front end, but in my opinion it depends on the vehicle color. I thought my wife would not like my Riverside Blue SS, but she said it’s “pretty”...and who am I to argue? Hell, I still get to have this hot rod sitting in my garage. Small issue, but eliminating the built in wireless garage door opener for 2019 was a mistake. Now I have my clunky-looking clip-on remote disturbing an otherwise cool interior. The exhaust sound, the acceleration, the handling, and the Bose audio make up for any minor bitches people have. Regarding the audio, I find myself turning down the music so I can hear the pipes howling!

Yes, some stupid cost-cutting measure for something that is standard on a lot of vehicles, but should be included with upgraded packages like the 2SS. The good part was that I had a spec sheet that said wireless charging was included on the SS package. When I got home, and tried to find it, it was missing. Apparently, Chevy eliminated it without updating the spec sheet so I leveraged that to get a ZL1 front splitter installed. That really finished off the look.

My stock 2019 Mustang GT w/ PP 1 had no problem taking the Camaro SS on the track. Had fun. They share the same transmission, so its close.Mustang is lighter though.

I have to agree with Keith, very good review! But unlike Keith I never was into Camaro's -well wait I retract that statement, way back in the late 70's and early 80's when I was in high school, when there was the Pontiac Trans Am and IROC I was a fan of those monster American gems. It seems like GM has got their money worth from that same basic body style from the 2008 camaro. Its time to give this car a complete make over. You said something about no one buys a camaro for visibility? What kind of statement is that? You need to have good visibility in a car just for safety reasons that is basic concept. This issue has been a major critcism of camaros since the new ones came out in 08. So obviously its important.

A few observations...1. With that front you pretty much have to go with black exterior to murder it out. 2. Side mirror collision alerts and backup camera are a must because of blind spots. 3. You really need to get the 1LE package to make it the clear winner over the Mustang on performance for the price. Performance is why you would buy this car. 4. If it is a fun daily driver you want, go with the Mustang or Challenger instead.

Let see, front of car is terrible looking. No where close as aggressive as the 2016 to 18. Performance is degraded along with fuel economy. What's good about this car. GM failed in my eyes. I am clad I got a 2017. Wouldnt even consider the 2019.

@@blaze376192 Acoording to GM own spec, along with other reviews from the initial release, the 2019 camaro fuel economy dropped 1 mile per gallon and 1/4 mile dropped 1 tenth if a second. Has nothing to do with transmission. GM redesign is not are are as the 16 to 18. Until I read or see different, the car is not as good. Also the 10 speed transmission is not the same 10 speed that's in the ZL1. So how good is it really.

@@blaze376192 just for your info: GM specs 2016 to 2018 camaro SS 17/20/28 city/combined/highway. 2019 Camaro SS 16/20/27 city/combined/highway. 0 to 60 4.0 seconds 2016 to 2018. 0 to 60 4.1 seconds 2019. Both are automatics. The manual is slower. 1/4 mile 12.1 seconds 2016 to 2018. 1/4 MILE 12.3 Seconds 2019. Again automatics.
