In the books, I was quite attracted to Luna Lovegood's character, and I was actually hoping Harry would end up with her. She is the kind of friend who blends into the background until you need her, at which point she appears like an angel. I agree with the sentiment. It is hard to understand why some people don't value the personality traits that we see as desirable. I think it partly comes down to power. If someone seems strong and able to resist peer pressure, others might want to take them down a peg or two and if someone seems isolated, they are an easy target for pranks. Ostracising someone makes people feel powerful and it makes a group feel selective, which makes the members feel special.

Luna is such a (much needed) ray of sunshine during bleak moments off the story. Upon seeing her for the first time, I initially thought and was afraid that she might turn out to be evil, but seeing her retain her charm and positive attitude throughout her appearances in the films, she is absolutely a fantastic character and performance. In the book Harry drinks polyjuice potion 🧪 before he attends Fleurs and Bills wedding 👰🏻 , and Luna recognizes Harry just by his facial expression. But in the movie Harry stays himself. Luna was such a sweetheart and had such a calming voice. I loved the fact that when she and Harry were in the forest with the Thestrals she was the one to gently point out to Harry that he was allowing himself to be separated from his friends. I bristle every time I hear that Snape was mean. It is like everyone forgets that he was the undercover spy for Dumbledor and the Order. That he loved Lily with all his heart and protected Harry his entire life. That is why Harry names his son after him. Snape was the soul of sacrifice. He had to be "mean" to fool Voldemort, the Death Eaters and even took an unbreakable vow to protect Draco as well. Snape was the noblest and most wonderful character in the books. Hands down. His being bullied did not make him mean, quite the opposite, it made him respond to love and kindness and became the hero of the books. Like Dumbledore says, there is light if you know where to look for it. Luna was as strong, but she was never asked to be a Death Eater or act against her nature to save them all. She is wonderful, but she was not Snape.

I think it's a very message about how she deals with bullies. It's very hard to go through and easy to let it really bring you down. But to let it make you stronger but not become bitter, or a bully yourself, is a good way to go. Also, the message for others... just because someone is odd doesn't mean they aren't a wonderful person. I was never really a "cool kid" in school but I never cared what people thought & dressed how I wanted & hung out with other 'strange' people. Later, I was respected for that.

The person never said it was for book smartness, hence the idea of LUNA. She literally spent the first 3-5 minutes actually explaining how she fits into Ravenclaw, and that it''s a house of people who prefer brains to brawn. Meaning, Hermionie, as smart as she is, prefers brawn over brain. I mean, that also shows, when she's probably the most vicious of the trio. But brain can mean anything: Wisdom, Creativity, Knowledge, Intelligence, Logic. All about the brain.

What makes Luna my fav and easily the best character is well roundedness. There is no arguing she belongs in Ravenclaw but she shows a lot of qualities from other houses just not as strongly as Ravenclaw. Everyday is is brave by being herself so it is not surprising when she steps it up more and fights along side Harry multiple times. No wonder all her best friends are in Gryffindor. Speaking of friends she is very kind and loyal to them. I bet their are some Hufflepuffs that admire her for being so kind to everyone not just humans. Slytherin is a little bit of a stretch but I think you can say she is shrewd in the best way. She is a really shrewd observer with those big unblinking eyes. She did recognize Harry at the wedding. She can read a room and know what someone is not saying like when she tells her dad Harry doesn't want to talk but is too polite to say so. While I don't think she was a hat stall, I think that her having all these traits makes her such an evolved well rounded character that is hard for anyone to dislike. Not only shoild we all have a Luna like friend, we should all strive to be more Luna like.

We all need a friend like Luna...strong amazing...and no mater how many times she gets knocked down...she dusts herself off and continues to be awesome...not to mention...hermionie may have book smarts...Luna on the other hand has what they call street smarts...she's out in the wilderness making friends...I agree Luna...I prefer animals over people...worlds greatest therapists...❤

I always found luna as the most lovely character throughout . But one incident and she became my super favourite . If you have read the books you would know that when the golden trio went to lovegood's home , harry went in to Luna 's bedroom and there he saw painting of Harry Ron Hermione Neville Ginny and Luna and there was written with golden colour FRIENDS. This scene made me so much emotional. The fact that Luna didn't had friends until her 3rd year and later she found them and that she even made their portrait in her bedroom shows how sweet and innocent she is as a person . She wasn't gloomy about people bullying her or treating her badly because she was different . She embraced her natural self whole heartedly. And eventually she found good company .. she never tried to harm anyone in any sort . She was the one who supported and believed in harry when nobody did . Love you Luna ❤️💝🥺

I loved Luna's free spirited demeanor. She was accepting of many things and did not care to conform to what others thought she should be. I was happy when Nevel and her found each other at the end, they seem to belong together.

Most of the video content is from the SuperCarlinBrothers, and the Luna/Snape part is almost direct quotes. I understand if people want to make a video about something they love, but I don't understand if they don't give credits to the people who found it, at least by saying once their names. I mean, we're not asking them to remove the video, just to put a name in the description, that's not too hard. Especially when you know most of the people who watch your video are fans that probably already watched some SCBs videos!

There's one part I can never agree with. Luna cared that she didn't have friends. I was a kid who didn't have friends, you learn to act like it doesn't matter. But the moment when Harry notices the mural on her ceiling, I knew exactly what it was about. She needed reminded when she wasn't in school that there were people who did like her. That scene always makes me choke a little. What we saw before that seems like indifference was acceptance.

Luna is my favorite character however, as far as her "knowing" who she is, this is nonsense. Unless she has some magical ability that allows her to know exactly who she is, none of use truly know who we are. It's the same as looking in the mirror; when we look into a mirror we only see one 180 whereas all others see the whole person 360. The same with our own voices, despite hearing our own voice nearly everyday, when we hear our own voice played back to us, the voice seems odd. Luna is Luna. A tad eccentric, airy and lovely in nature (personality). Luna is one in a million as she didn't have to work to be who she is, she is simply who she is. Priceless and I wish we had many more Luna's in the world.
