I don't expect Donald to be better... I expect the people to be better. I was in my first year of college when the september 2001 attack happened. I opposed the military intervention that year. Most of the nation supported it... but by 2004 there were peace protests. But then the 2008 election happened, and the peace protests disappeared, because "Barack is better than X republican", and even though the wars continued there were much fewer of us opposing the invasions. Look at the last year... Democrat state governors and city mayors sent police to stop protests against the democrat president. Compare that to 2020, when the same governors and mayors kept Donald from doing the same things. I don't trust him further than I can throw him. He's a television star. But I trust them to oppose him.

Great analysis. This Tunisian-British analyst has a much better and more accurate grasp on American politics than the various "professional" talking-heads and blobs that clouded the airwaves here. To summarize my own personal politics, I am a Libertarian who was energized by the Ron Paul campaign and have been voting third-party since. This time around, I did a protest vote for Jill Stein/Butch Ware because on the core issues of the War Machine, Wall Street, Corporatism we align - although as a traditional-minded Pagan, I agree with Mr. Hamdi (and many other Muslims) about the misgivings of their Leftist social policies (and their socialistic formulas in other areas). So I agree that the four issues of Economy = Gaza = Immigration = Woke is what determined the election. Seeing the reactions from the Harris campaign and Democrats, the meltdowns, the doubling down on the arrogance and hubris, Biden's doubling down on supporting the genocide, the lashing out of so many of them revealing their deep-seated racism (recall the famous quote of Malik El-Shabazz about the "White Liberal") etc. etc. - all of these indicate that what I would call Natural Law - and what Muslims would know as Fitra - demanded equilibrium: Those "elites" needed to be put in their place. Watching Trump's picks since, with the whole host of Israel-First fanatics, give me alarm - but Mr. Hamdi did a great job allievating some of my concerns with a more broad-based perspective. An important message was sent that being a slave to Israel and being complicit in their crimes paid for in Palestinian and Lebanese blood and lives - and American resources and sovereignty - IS a political liability. And let's face it, for politicians its such "pragmatic" concerns that carry the day and not the moral aspects. So this shows deeper changes going on within the culture and spirit that are more lasting and important than the surface-level political.

Was hoping that voters not favoring the dems would have voted Green, not Red.

Fact is Trump emerges as more inclined to 'finish the job'and still we persist in our beliefs that one of these enemies will have a change of heart.Time for muslims to get real.

I agree with that. That is why they should've voted for Jill Stein. They have to make a 3rd option viable by repeatedly voting for the Green Party.

Salam Sami, so why is the Gandalf quotation only for the non-Muslim viewers? There’s a lot of Muslim LOTR fans as well! 😅

Gaza was not a major issue in the election, it was among the least , per se . Trump's been vocal on his support for Israel and Netanyahu's plan . Kamala Harris and the Dems lost the election because of the economy, most Americans believed that the country was going on the wrong direction. Another major issue was the border security. The Dems focused their campaign entirely on Roe V. Wade , this didn't resonate with most of the voters .
@prowest67153 күн бұрын
You might think or believe that, but Sami quoted/named several sources who said Gaza was a deciding factor.
