If they would’ve guarded each other the whole game this would’ve turned out differently and it would’ve done more for LeBron’s greatness in the long run … My honest opinion of this game was that they both was a bit afraid to wanna guard each other it seemed to me especially while it was close … Both kinda being intimidated of each other’s skill set and if LeBron would’ve taken advantage of the matchup early on and believed in his ability to pull off strong against a formidable opponent in McGrady then he certainly would’ve had the edge and advantage cause McGrady certainly wasn’t about to put 100% effort into guarding him the entire time if he would’ve gotten cooked by LeBron early on but thats how you supposed to attack the game from the very beginning when u are as great as a McGrady or a LeBron caliber type ! It’s like playing a game of chess or spades it’s about making the right moves and never allowing the opponent to figure u out and once u start dominating u gotta do everything to manipulate the opponent into believing less in theirselves cause the moment they gain the edge to make it competitive and they start to see the light at the end of the tunnel it could be the wrap for u … But hey ! At least they both feared one another and wasn’t BIG headed about wanting to dominate over the other person … They both seemed level headed and allowed for the game to be played at their pace and just did what they could when they should and it’s all respect on my end 100%

Scared is definitely the wrong wrong. This is simply a HC realizing they needed both guys to carry the offensive load. Therefore don't have then guard each other and give that much energy. It happens all the time. Kobe didn't guard A.I. in the finals because of that reason. Also because he couldn't. Lol Theu both respected each other at the end of the day and one of the greatest Xmas games ever

@@jmar5127 I don’t think the AI and Kobe matchup would’ve been all that competitive even though AI is a dawg ass beast and one of my favorite players ever and it most definitely would’ve been a battle at the SG position but I think Kobe would’ve had the edge in that matchup simply cause of AI’s height disadvantage… I look at AI as a score 1st PG even tho he did play SG if I was coaching AI he would have to bring the ball up for my team but let’s get back to this video’s topic between these two greats in LeBron and T Mac ; This game I do think myself that they may not have feared each other but they certainly didn’t wanna fully guard one another with LeBron being a rook and they say T Mac really doesn’t D up anyway it just wasn’t as competitive as it should have been straight out the gate … This matchup would’ve been one of the greatest ever to have witnessed if they were to had fully guarded each other from beginning to end cause then we would’ve seen who was the better one out of the two although in my personal opinion I think it would’ve been LeBron cause he ended up playing at a much higher level and has more longevity than T Mac O ! And I forgot to mention that LeBron is #1 on my favorite players list beside my #2 MJ 😅
