What an amazing childhood Jackson is having! I mean, yeah, he gets to go to WDW all the time and go on wonderful vacations, but what I really love is that he gets to spend so much time with both of his parents. Tim and Jenn are so inclusive with him and they encourage him to be interactive and participate in so many activities.

I had to laugh when Jackson said “chickens!” I was very surprised to see wild chickens randomly roaming a parking lot one day as well as other random locations on Maui while we were there.

Ice like that is different in so many cultures. Hawaii is shave ice, Japan has Kakegori, Taiwan has their thing, Korea has their version, the Middle East has that weird chewy ice cream thing, and we have snow cones. Honestly try to find places that do it right and stick with them. The tradition in Hawaii is to get the tall ones flavor them different and hit the street immediately. It’s because those things are top heavy and if you don’t eat them fast they melt everywhere. Japan tends to do the sit down and enjoy idea where the ice slowly melts but in the middle of that ice is a creamy filling of something that you pick. Korea does the texture is better and the ice is basically powder then flavored all the way through.everyone has their own thing and you just learn how to do it.

Aloha! I last traveled to Hawaii in 2014 and stayed with friends, though I checked out the resort. A few offerings in Oahu I enjoyed were going on a nature walk in the Waimea Valley (which ended with an epic waterfall), going on the Dole plantation tour, and enjoying a tour of a coffee place. Also, I went to a delicious and fun luau that is maybe a half hour from the hotel. I honestly do not remember much else of what I ate. I would read TripAdvisor reviews about awesome local places. Hopefully someday I will be able to enjoy Hawaii again.

I'm glad you're enjoying your stay here in Hawaii. Just some Island information, Niihau is not open to the public, it's owned by a private family. Kaho'olawe is an uninhabited island, the Military used to use it for target practice, so it is not a safe place to visit. Molokai and Lanai are smaller islands to visit, but it's a lot of Country living, so it's good for R&R. Enjoy your stay here!

Another fun video, thanks Trackers! A few tips: You aren't in Hawaii, you are on a resort on Oahu. It's like saying you visited Orlando but only went to WDW. I lived in Hawaii a bit and locals appreciate the difference being acknowledged. It's shave ice, no d at the end. Shaved ice is different (and not as good imho). ;) Aloha!

Fun fact: but did you know that before Duffy had a name he had a different storyline? He was actually Mickey’s old teddy bear (not made by Minnie) who’s face automagically appeared when Tinkerbell sprinkled fairy dust on him. I still have the original “the story of Disney Bear, A day at the Magic Kingdom” book.
