Disney's All Star Movies Resort Tour | Hotel Grounds Walking Tour, Food & Pool Locations!

In today's vlog we head to Disney's All Star Movies Resort for a hotel walking tour! We checked out the Secret Food Menu in yesterday's vlog, you can watch that here- • Ordering Everything On... . First we take a look at the lobby, gift shops, arcade and food court. We loved the theming through out. Then we take a look at the pools, splash pad and play ground areas. We also take a look at each section of the resort. They're all themed to different Disney movies, like, Toy Story, Fantasia, Herbie the Love Bug, 101 Dalmatians and The Mighty Ducks! The Herbie area was themed to the original movie, hence why it says “The Love Bug” everywhere. The Lohan remake came out in 2005 and was called “Herbie Fully Loaded” and came out in 2005. The resort opened in 1999. The Fantasia 2000 side of the hotel is themed after “The Steadfast Tin Soldier” and “Friar” Donald and Daisy are from the Noah’s Ark section... Pongo’s wife is Perdita... and Canine Crunchies are mentioned in the film- they watch a commercial for them on TV.

Razor Kanguru I was just about to say when the resort opened and that Herbie was one of the original named and themed hotel. Also the badge on the bonnet of Herbie is correct, I know this because my husband and I have had a many Vdubs and mine is the same as Herbie but she was Yellow.

I was not going to spoil it on how Lucky got his name. Yes he almost did not make it. Till Roger kind of did some kind of pup resuscitation and revived him and named him Lucky.

The Donald and Daisy statues were from Fantasia 2000, in the Noah's Arc segment. I think also that they had 15 puppies, and saved the rest from Cruella, adding up to 101.

We didn’t have much money growing up, so it was a very special “once in a lifetime” trip for us. Awesome video as ever. Just so you know, the beetle that you got up close too was correct for the model year herbie was. The Vw badge on the bonnet was there up until the 70 and the roof isn’t a cabriolet it’s a ragtop fold back roof. Otherwise known as a golde ragtop. Can you tell I’m a Vw nut? 😂

Herbie Goes Bananas and Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo were old-school Herbie movies. We stayed in the Herbie section, much quieter and great parking near the room. We had adjoining rooms for Grandma.

Stayed here in 1999 and it was fab. So much easier to go out of the Lobby and just get on a bus to where we wanted to go. The food court was reasonably priced compared to the rest of WDW. Loved that we could refill our mugs with drinks for free. At that time you could not get alcohol anywhere in WDW at all, except in a restaurant. We did hire a car for the middle week and went to the Florida mall, we went to a timeshare place and got tickets for Seaworld, Universal and Busch Gardens at 8 dollars each so worth a few hours and a free breakfast. I really love watching Tim and Jenn.

Love this resort, All Star Movies was the first Disney Hotel I ever stayed at back in 2004. Cruella DeVille visits the resort sometimes and uses the tv picture spot for meet and greets too. At least she did when I visited there.

Queen of the Bus!! Love it. Might be easier to just pack the large suitcase.. love it. We love movies and music.. sports NOT so much. Thank you for taking to the hotels when I can be there.. getting in my Disney Fix. We stayed in the Mighty Ducks rooms once and they were soooo beat up. The Cheerleaders, etc all get those rooms and the one we stayed in was really beat up. If we stay at All Stars ALWAYS pay for Perered Room.. no exceptions.

Vicky Hernandez There are two different types of rooms you can select when booking, which are standard and preferred. The preferred costs a little extra but it guarantees that your room will be in a block closer to the facilities and buses, In All Star Movies, that would be the Toy Story, Fantasia and 101 Dalmatians blocks. When I’m checking in I always ask for a specific block and 8/10 they will be able to put me in a room there, or wait until later that day when one will be available. Just ask, and they will try their best to accommodate you. Fantasia is a great area as well though, as you are right next to the pool and directly opposite the food court.

Hi Tim! Huge fan! I’ve actually performed in Disney World 3 times traveling all the way from Massachusetts. Those groups of uniformed people are guests of the Disney Performing Arts program, and we are invited to perform (with a dance group, band, etc.) in different parks as well as Disney Springs. Every time I’ve performed we have stayed in the Herbie buildings and it was an amazing experience every time!
